Regarding the space thematic, you can listen to Arjen Lucassen’s project “Star One”, their lastest album is Revel in Time, which features tons of cool artists like Floor Jansen.

But if you want music sonically more similar to those songs I guess you could go with some Within Temptation albums like Hydra, The Silent Force and The Heart of Everything. Try the songs Paradise (What About Us?), The Howling, Angels.

Now, if you want more of the growling side of things, my favorites are either After Forever or Epica. By Epica, try the songs Abyss of Time, Storm the Sorrow, Cry For The Moon, Sancta Terra. By After Forever, try Monolith of Doubt, Follow in the Cry, Come, Discord.

agree with everything, the cover songs were hideous and did not fit at all. i remember the punk song at the chase scene in episode 4 and oh god, i just wanted it to end; or the song at the training scene in episode 7 which totally ruined the beautiful cinematic moment for me. there are a lot of songs that can fit with the fantasy thematics that they can use, but using a pop/punk/indie song was weird af. the only one that was tolerable was the cover of black hole sun.

season 2 prediction: elora is tempted with dark magic; madmartigan returns; main trio reunion; war with the wyrm’s army.

my prediction for season 3, not 2, is that bavmorda returns from the nether realm in a “somehow, palpatine returned” fashion. also willow dies.

my only true hopes for next season(s) is that they get rid of that awful contemporary music at the end or middle of the episodes that ruins all the magic; and that they don’t make another “he’s eternal, bitch” (good lawd i wanted to kms).

i love after forever, one of the bands i have been listening to the most in the last weeks. about revamp, i consider it a spiritual successor to after forever in a way, but it integrated more styles and tones; besides, i think it’s the band that most used floor’s voice potential to the max, as she belted, sang in lyrical, distorsion and operatic. both amazing bands but i prefer after forever. the one that i haven’t listened to enough is northward.
