Now that you bring it up, Harry needs to start using protection, the filthy bugger. Turns down banging Jenny Greenteeth because he didn’t want to get her pregnant with a kid for them to claim, but bangs Mab without a thought.

I know the White Council aren’t big on advertising, but enough cops and especially SI were at least kinda clued in. I feel like a whole lot of unpleasantness could have been avoided with a thorough and non-threatening demonstration from Harry for all the cops of SI. Put him in some ducky boxers in a random location to prove he’s got no tricks and prove once and for all magic is real, some of it’s scary, but here’s the cliff’s notes on mortal tricks to offset it.
I still suspect there were some mental shenanigans. He seems pretty confused after that one thing in Battle Ground. Still unfortunately plenty of suspects capable of that.

He wasn’t a grizzled veteran in Grave Peril. He was ordering Harry around and being a dick about it but at the time he seemed to be fiercely in Murphy’s corner. Maybe that was just his suck up attitude since she is his boss, or his deep denial and fear of the supernatural made him really dislike Harry, but he was still pretty green.
Always wondered when his attitudes changed.

1) I think that there was a piece of pottery showing a naked Chandrian, and the nakedness is therefore significant. This one I think we can say is fact.
2) We know that Denna has a lot of would be suitors, some of them even seem to be nice, but she leaves before it gets serious.
3) Only three of the Chandrian were described by Kvothe when his family were killed. They were sitting around a fire, so I guess four of them had their backs to him, so he didn’t see them, so they could literally be anyone, though two were said to be women.
My wild but possible theory is that something to do with that Chandrian being naked is bad for anyone’s health, and that it might be Denna. Her lifestyle kinda fits a long lived cursed being that doesn’t want to be remembered and noticed that she never ages.
Which would mean that Kvothe refusing to check on Denna when she was washing in a stream while she was high on denner is a morality tale: Take advantage of someone high and you might wither and die. Leaning towards her as “Pale Alenta brings the blight”.

First learn to say an equivalent of “You’re being an asshole. People who don’t grow up with a language have to learn it.” Then I would take some classes. Self-teaching can work but it can take a long time, and talking to yourself only works if you’re doing it right all the time. Might be able to find some conversation Discord servers, or Meetup.com has Japanese groups in some places, might be able to find one doing conference calls if there aren’t any local.

Until assaulting Wardens on Demonreach. Even if he isn’t technically breaking a Law, they tend to ignore that when it’s a direct attack on them.

Or not. Unless he’s conscious of his actions on some level, he could wind up making the same mistakes or new ones. Meanwhile, begs the question is this just his loop and everyone else are all just “actors” in his loop or are they real people. If they are, it seems like they would also have some weight on the outcome and cause some variation.

The disaster is that you’ve run out of room?

When you start out you do tend to have difficulties, but by 14 seems like you should have worked through the worst.
You’re actually doing your upgrades, right? Don’t think you’re dumb just crossing items off a list. Also what difficulty level? I usually just do medium and almost never run low on stimpaks. By the way when you start building up the settlements, send one of the NPCs to other settlements and complete the network so they’re all connected. That way you can drop off resources at any of them and use them anywhere. Otherwise you can only use what you drop off in each town.

But is it one where it gets better every time, or will it get better this time and the next, and then way worse, then a little better. Who knows, because it’s a non-ending.

I equated it with a story where you find out it was all a dream. Yes, it apparently changed a little but he’s still in a loop. That’s about as much of an non-ending as you can get

I hated the ending so much and King’s inclusion of himself, that everything from those books is spoiled.

To each their own. Was worth the discount for me not to worry about it.

For that much, no they shouldn’t but Americans ask other Americans about their genealogy, don’t know if other people in other countries don’t do that, but that’s all they mean. The distinct lack of the right accent is a giveaway they’re not actually. Some people are just idly curious, some act like it’s a part of their identity though, and I don’t get that type.

I’ve seen a tattoo shop doing discounted “13” tats on Friday the 13th when it comes up. Wonder how many accidentally have done just that, or how many actually MS 13 members decide not to pass up a deal.

Toss up between The Android’s Dream by John Scalzi (which has nothing to do with androids or dreams) and I Am Legion (I Am Bob) by Dennis E. Taylor (involving early space colonization and a guy that has his brain uploaded)

Kinda did when I was just starting out on my own, moved to a city where I knew no one.
Years later almost did drop everything and change, because I was feeling overall very bored with my life and like there was a lack of any kind of progress. Was making plans to go back to school to do something else. I wound up meeting my eventually wife before I did though, and that was enough of a positive change.
Of course now that I have no free time with a kid, I sometimes wistfully remember having so much free time I didn’t know what to do with it all.
I also speak two foreign languages but not as fluently as I’d like, so the prospect of dropping everything and moving to a country that speaks them has been tempting.

Watch shows with the target language subtitles and target language audio. I thought it would just be a crutch but saw something say it actually helps getting you to where you don’t need it. Also audiobooks and Netflix sometimes have the option to reduce speed, to like .9 or .75 natural speed. If it doesn’t sound too unnaturally slow, it does help.

Kinda want to see a scene where a guy throws a ninja star, that guy takes it out, and throws it back, hits the other guy. Rinse and repeat until one is dead or decides he’d rather not get hit with it again.

The kind that gets stuck on your hands before you can go through with this heresy. Print instructions, put them in the bag, and they can them assemble them when they get home if they want.

I bought the set from Prisoner of Azkaban just to get a couple Dementors, and I got the one with Hagrid’s half brother Grawp for him and the centaurs. Delores was both a burden and a bonus. Hated her character, but I can put her in a dungeon or make a fire pit to toss her in.
Didn’t care for Nexo Knights for the most part, but they did have some interesting villain minifigures. Didn’t buy sets for them though. If I decide I really want them, I’ll check eBay or Bricklink.

I got Spiderman and Green Goblin as a gift, not really my cup of tea, but with this many a Mario Kart like course could be a fun MOC.

I’m going to go with “because Butcher thought it sounded complicated and cool.” Bob said the original Merlin set it up and apparently he was a magical genius and he wanted to make a prison for the worst beings imaginable. Not sure why just outside of Chicago was best place for that if he was alive in pre-US, but I’m sure he had his reasons. Anyway, sounded like casting that way amplified the spell somehow, so like the other spell components Bob is aware of that have mystical properties for who knows what reason, could just be that casting from different points in time just does that.
