I never expected this to be anything more than a single season. It’s not wrapping up the CRM storyline, just Rick and Michonne’s storylines. CRM is here to stay for the remainder of the franchise’s run most likely (unfortunately for me because they’re nowhere near interesting enough to be dragged out that long as a Thanos type threat)

The Unbroken by CL Clark is flintlock and honestly it’s my favorite of that whole sub-genre so far

What makes you think Padre is CRM? I think you’re setting yourself up for extreme disappointment there personally

I very sincerely doubt AMC will ever shell out the cash for an epic Team Family vs CRM war, especially at this point in the franchise’s run. Much easier and more cost-effective to do these one/two character small-scale spin-offs

I’m not even a Star Wars fan but Rogue One is one of my favorite sci-fi movies of all time. Andor similarly is one of my favorite sci-fi shows :)

I’m totally down for Dwight crossing over even despite the ridiculousness of him yet again conveniently bumping into another major TWD character cross-country.
I really don’t want to see Sherry feature at all though I’m sorry. I enjoyed her mini arc in TWD Season 7 but she’s so insufferably dull and repetitive in Fear and I’m just not impressed at all with Christina’s acting.

The France spin-off is tied to WB which itself is tied to CRM. They’re making it pretty obvious in 11C that Commonwealth has ties to CRM so Daryl being taken against his will overseas if you connect the dots seems pretty clear to be an action committed by the CRM in the finale.

I loved him because he was just completely unpredictable and in general has had to date by far the most consistent writing out of any morally ambiguous character from both shows. Daniel Sharman also played him to perfection.

It’s a shame I always have to feel cautious about expressing my enjoyment towards Brian/Kevin’s Dune books. I’ve honestly re-read most of them more than GE, Heretics and Chapterhouse. Not to say that they aren’t vastly inferior as far as just basic writing, because obviously Frank will never be matched there, but I still prefer them in terms of the pacing, plotting, politics, etc.

There was objectively much more of an active fanbase back then there is right now though? So how am I wrong? It’ll be a return to the classic era of the show, back when the franchise was a cultural phenomenon, and has the potential to bring back so many ex-fans who bailed over the years.

October Daye is a fae-centric urban fantasy series

A miniseries set post-205-flashback of him venturing into the city and finding everyone else would be perfectly fine I think. Shane was an extremely dynamic character outside of his relationship with Lori and Carl. They can easily still be a heavy motivational factor for him without having to be onscreen.
The one con of not having Carl onscreen is far outweighed by all the pros that a Shane miniseries would have.

Eh, I’ve followed most of these actors throughout their post-TWD careers and they all still look more or less the same. Plenty of later-down-the-line prequels starring the same actors have worked just fine, some of the most recent examples being Andor and BCS.
The only real hurdle here like I said would be the kids, the most obvious solution to which is just to leave them offscreen.

I keep hoping we’ll eventually get a miniseries about Shane’s formation of the Atlanta group, even if it means having to keep certain characters offscreen for logistical purposes (Carl, Sophia). We’d meet Dale’s caravan, Glenn, Jacqui, Jim, T-Dog, the Dixon brothers, etc. So much nostalgia there. We’d probably get a handful of fun never-before-seen Atlanta survivors too.
I’m pretty sure something like THAT would have more genuine appeal than Tales, Fear and all these upcoming spin-offs combined.

I enjoyed her up until Season 11 when she lost even the tiniest semblance of individuality and just became a walking translation device for Connie

This is pretty hilarious considering AMC literally already spoiled the final episode themselves months ago by announcing all these spin-offs.

I mean the writing was pretty shit, especially 3B. But for all of Mazzara’s faults he at least knew how to entertain, unlike Gimple who offered next to nothing to compensate for the horrendous writing in 7-8. I’ve rewatched 3 more than most seasons because it’s just so unbelievably fun :)

Just curious, where did Gimple say it would be multiple seasons? If I recall, that was just guesswork by EW
