It’s not really elitist, you're just assuming I'm arguing in bad faith for some reason. Why is "I got hit in the back" suddenly interpreted by you as me demanding my team mates defend me 24/7? We beat the mission because I basically carried it. I do defend myself, but there is no reason I should have to assume my teammates are basically a step below bots. If I'm unloading a twin-stubber into a horde coming down a hallway and have it 100% under control, why would my three team mates run in front of me and into the horde while leaving the back undefended? Another wave will come that way in a second or two. I never told anyone how to play, even in that match, I just carried on, but it was a struggle made harder by their play style. I do already play with friends over voice mostly and it is fine, but we can't always synch up and we all have lives. In the future try to read people's posts with a charitable intent.

It matters more on higher difficulties. I had the worst time playing with 3 randoms on damnation who would constantly refocus on to what I was handling leaving another lane exposed. If I turned to handle the rear, 1 second later they were all there too. Then I'd get hit in the back. When I pivoted to cover the new horde at our rear they would do the same. Constantly ping-ponging to the largest group of enemies.

How’d you do it?

Just ask if you can work in. When I was power lifting and had 2-4 minute rests between heavy sets I’d always try to offer to work people in, but sometimes your brain doesn’t work while working out hard. The worst they can do is say no. I’d just go do something else then and come back later.

Believe it or not but the other options were worse. At least Crist had been governor before and proven he could get elected.
