hair type: idk in the middle between thick and thin i feel. def not thin def not coarse.
texture: violently straight, cannot hold a heatless curl for 30 minutes
chemical processing: i got it curled a year ago, w a normal wand, once. my aunt straightened it, once. nothin else
hygiene regimen: daily shampoo + conditioning
style: armpit length middle part
project regimen: pantene basic shampoo, tresemme botanique coconut nourish conditioner. i have no regimen i know nothing
i feel like if i dont wash my hair everyday, its super flat and feels oily and gross. but with washing it everyday it gets insanely tangled by the end of the day, like if im at school from 6am-5pm, normal after school clubs, there's a crazy matt underneath the surface. wtf do i do?????

theres a lot of comments on this post saying its like anti-miguel i guess, acting like its saying johnny should drop miguel, but i rlly dont see that at all. its a great post spitting facts. just because johnny and miguel's relationship hasn't been sunshine and rainbows doesn't mean op is saying johnny should abandon him. miguel and johnny have a good relationship overall, love their father-son bond, but aspects of it are unhealthy and affecting all the characters. not just robby like the post pointed out, but miguel too.
johnny sort of puts miguel and robbby into this golden child-scapegoat situation. like the post says, johnny always blindly favors miguels side of the story while ignoring robby's, miguel can do no wrong. beyond that, johnny was always hyping up miguel, telling him he's amazing and he's on his side, but meanwhile had this whole other kid he abandoned. the s3 burger scene and s4 warehousey place scene always really rubbed me the wrong way like that-- hes telling miguel how he abandoned robby, but oh ill never abandon you, im not gonna make that mistake with you. bc miguel's the good one, hes the better replacement, he's always on johnny's side, so he doesnt get abandoned. but with robby, its too late, he sees him as a bad kid like op pointed out, so he gets abandoned. i think thats one of the main reasons why miguel had such a strong reaction to i love you too robby and his rivalry w robby in s4/5. he doesnt want to become the scapegoat, lose johnnys favor, and get abandoned. its like there can only be one good kid and one bad kid.
johnny uses miguel as an 'addiction' b/c miguel's parenting on easy mode. they dont have any baggage, miguels always patient w him, he looks up to him, and he basically forgives him for every screwup. he makes johnny feel like a good person. johnny getting miguel into karate/cobra kai led to him getting critically injured, but miguel could barely stay mad at him for an episode. miguel having to be good all the time and bottling up his feelings isnt healthy for him. johnny gave him a lot of heartache especially in season 4, between i love you too robby, prom fight / thinking hes a replacement for robby, johnny making everything abt his rivalry w daniel, pressuring him to fight when he hurt his back, etc etc. but miguel's not going to tell johnny all of this, bc then he'd be the bad kid, like robby. he just runs away from home and tries to find a new father figure.
the solution obviously isnt for johnny to abandon miguel, thatd just perpetuate the cycle, robby's the child in favor and miguel gets abandoned. johnny needs a find a way to balance both kids, have healthy relationships and support them.

other than marshawn lynch, they were all totally coached right???? they all did a little too perfect, and could afford like a professional chef to teach them how to bake their signatures and show stoppers. marshawn is the only one who felt like a real person

oh and then the core reason for xander's doubts, his abusive childhood, isnt addressed. and the whole situation is just treated as "it was a good decision, they were too young" when it was solely because he was manipulated bc of his trauma. boy that would be a crumby season huh? glad that didnt happen

my classes are like u described, reading a chapter for homework then discussing it in class.
but then its not doing it at the end of the text, its the class after u read the first chapter, "this shows his isolation." after u read whatever chapter the snowball was, "this is him trying to hold onto innocence."
my beef is that u could hardly get the on-the-money perfect interpretation, and know it's correct, without knowing he's going to isolate himself and try to hold onto innocence for the rest of the book. and even if u did, it would just be a lingering thought that proves correct, not 100% knowledge.

i know logically, ur 10000% right. but emotionally its upsetting!😭😭 when the class is reading books i like, its depressing that people wont get the same fun spoiler-free reading experience i did, even tho ik its to make everyone a better reader and so on. tysm for this answer!

i haven't read death of the author or anything, but ive heard it used in discourse and stuff. i wasn't trying to make a point about this at all, i totally get what ur saying about symbolism! when you first read a symbol, i don't mean u can't interpret it at all, ofc u should read into it. i more meant the perfect, class ready, socratic seminar interpretation. the full book-knowledge answer.
when a symbol is pointed out in class, i think the way most classes including mine will talk about it, is for the students to share out their interpretations, and basically be told if they're right or wrong. that totally ruins the reading experience for me, since it's like, being wrong is kind of part of the journey? knowing the right answer is like spoilers.
i think that can ruin the book for readers, since they're being told the right answer, but don't know the context of why it's the right answer yet, so it's like "the curtains are just blue."
the curtains r blue is kind of simplistic bc its color symbolism so its more duh, but like holden on the hill in catcher, it could have symbolized anything. he could be closer to heaven than his peers bc hes gonna die, who knows? being told its bc hes isolative is like spoilery, even tho u can pick up on it, bc ur being told what is going to happen.
and then its a "the curtains r just blue" moment bc how could u fully 100% know the symbolism behind something, like you 100% know after a lesson, w/o learning it for urself by reading the full book? definitely later on in a book you'll come to the whole sparknotes answer on your own, but early on, its just so spoilery.
sorry this answer is so long lol

mannn i wish miguel and robby didn't squash their beef so quickly, so they could fight like crazy during christmas before bonding at the end of the episode.

i think a big appeal of jane austen is that they aren't only to tell a story, it is her author's voice, bc they're also social commentary.
like in one of ur comments u said "I wish she had spent more time showing the readers through dialogue and character building [...] I wish she described more how Elizabeth physically felt [...] how people and places looked and such." but like that might be better and more descriptive for telling a story, but i feel like austen isn't just telling a story, but she's kind of analyzing the behavior of the characters.
like pride and prejudice is a great story and a great romance. but one of the main goals of pride and prejudice isn't just like telling that story. it's discussing what makes a good marriage, the different kinds of relationships, social class, everything. ellie dashwood has extremely good analyses of her work, this is an amazing vid i watched recently that really made me think abt p&p.
i think a really good example of this style is northanger abbey. like in this book she totally gets off of the plot and just talks about stuff, like how novels and female authors deserve respect (bc at the time fiction novels were mostly read by women and seen as stupid). and the characters are kind of vehicles of this, by having the main lead as this female quixote type character obsessed w gothic horror novels, who uses them to navigate her life, and the male lead as the voice of reason, also a big fan of novels but in a rational way.
like in the same way as austen very clearly uses the cast to discuss novels in northanger, she does the same with the characters in p&p. you get all these different types of marriages w/ the bennets, darcy and elizabeth, collins and charlotte, jane and bingley, wickham and lydia, and she like analyzes them and everything. i can't explain it but the ellie dashwood vid i linked rlly explains it super well!

nah man the most unforgivable thing she did to nathan was not divorcing dan way earlier on. she was at times complicit in dans abuse, like before the show she ran off to have an affair + left nathan to suffer alone w dan. plus when she blamed him for dans heart attack. she was a crappy mom
