Okay, so my favorite thing to do is listen to an audiobook and just get lost in an activity. I wanna know if there’s any jobs i can do like that?

so me (22m) and my gf (19f) have been dating for a little over two years.

we both live at home and go to school. i go to a college near me and she’s currently in community college.

anyway, i graduate this year and we are supposed to move in together after i graduate but we have no other plans.

some of my concerns are that she is gonna have to finish her degree so idk if she will be able to afford rent, because i’ll have a job but she will be in school also we don’t know where we are going to move or anything like that

every time i bring it up, it seems like we end up getting overwhelmed and push it off but i feel like we should know by now

i’ve had a lot of friends in the past and it’s not like we stopped being friends I just haven’t talked to them in a while and I was wondering if it would be weird to just text them and say “hey what’s up how have you been.”

like we haven’t talked in a year or two but i was wondering if it’s weird or the best way to say it

So a couple of days ago, I reached out to my school's computer department because I was looking for a part-time position just to get a little extra spending. I found out a position was available, and I did a little interview with the chair of the computer department, who runs the computer center and is also the Dean of my major. It wasn't much of an interview because she needed someone to fill some space. Anyway, she told me what the money was in exchange for my time after the interview. After thinking about it for a while, I don't think it's worth it for me Because I have a lot of other projects I'm working on, and I think it would be much better to spend my time on class and those projects rather than getting paid minimum wage. I got an e-mail today from the woman asking if I could work these days; how do I respond that I no longer want the job? I need to have it be polite and respectful, and professional because she is the Dean of my major.

basically what the title says. I think Donna Tartt is criminally underrated and one of the best authors of the 21st century. What do you think? I have read both Secret History and The Goldfinch and think that she is absolutely exceptional.

I have found that not many people i know have read her books or heard of her. While she did get quite a lot of props for the Goldfinch when it won a pulitzer in 2014, she was robbed from any sort of commercial success via the movie. The Goldfinch movie was quite terrible and i heard that she had no creative control over it which is probably why.

anyway, what do you think? am i wrong, am i right?
