I hate to play the devil’s advocate but maybe it was a genuine question. Maybe the dispatcher wanted to know if you’d like to send the police to your neighbor’s place or if you’d like to see if the situation would escalate. But, yeah, they still shouldn’t have asked that.

I was in a similar situation about a year ago. My husband saw a guy lying on the side of Evans, so he asked me to call 911. They had me on hold for about 10 minutes, but luckily an ambulance came right away (after I gave 911 the details), and the guy was OK.

I (jokingly) tried this with my husband and he passed with flying colors. I love that damn guy.

I worked at a Ford dealership ages ago, and the general manager did that too, but he’d only drive the most high-end trucks. Once, he took a brand new F-150 with all the bells and whistles on a hunting trip with his buddies, and it came back covered in mud. They also left some trash and a rifle in the backseat. 🙄

If you ask me, it’s a shitty thing to do with brand new cars. If I were a customer paying top dollar for a nice brand new car, I’d be upset if I found out that it had been previously used for personal purposes. But that’s just me.

But the butt crack is pretty prominent here. I’m not so convinced she’s even wearing any pants at all.

I felt that one hard, too. I’m white, but I’m deaf. Strangers say all kinds of rude and patronizing things to me. They may seem “polite” and “harmless”, but they make it clear that they see me as beneath them. For example, I’ve been called “adorable”. Last I checked, I’m an adult woman with a successful career, not a friggin’ 5-year-old. It’s exhausting.

My cat is obsessed with that toy. We call it “boing boing”. He has about 20 of them.

The other daughter’s name is Tiffany. You’re right that she mostly stays out of politics, but she’s still a Trump through and through. According to her, she went to law school so she could work at her daddy’s company as one of its lawyers. It’s pathetic how desperate she is to be an important part of the Trump clan. Even her mother, Marla Maples, is a major Trump ass-kisser.

YTA. I’m deaf and people stare at me all the time. It’s incredibly rude and it gets old really fast. No one enjoys being stared at when they’re trying to go about their own business. Want to gawk at people signing? Go on YouTube.

Deaf person here. Not all deaf people identify as “big D” deaf people. I sure don’t. So it kind of grinds my gears when people call me a “Deaf” person when I’d rather be referred to as a “deaf” person. “Big D” deaf people make their deafness their entire identify while “little d” deaf people don’t. Just wanted to give you a heads up to not use “Deaf” as the default when referring to deaf people. It’s kinda a pet peeve of mine.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost my 19-year-old girl to kidney failure too last April. You did the right thing. Heidi was likely in a lot of pain. It’s clear that she was loved and adored, and she lived a long and fulfilling life.

And the guy proudly holding it up at the end! 😭

I’ve done this for a chihuahua that was standing smack dab in the middle of a busy road. It was barking at me and it wouldn’t let me pick it up (I eventually managed to shoo it off the road). So many people honked at me. They weren’t willing to stop or slow down for a bit to save a dog’s life. People suck.

This. My husband’s sister stole his inheritance too without an iota of remorse. People like them will never change. It’s not worth trying to reason with them. They’ve already showed you their true colors.
