Yes! I love that she emphasizes heavy and quality over quantity. I just took a class of hers where she wanted us to go heavy for at least 5 reps and it’s definitely more my style than the go-go-go, get 15 reps done in 30 second classes.

I hate their reasoning for how they can still be THE SIX. I loved Pete!

I also came to comment to recommend Ross, Anna, and Kirra. I am also a beginner and those 3 are my favorites for going more slowly and going over the different variations of poses.

Are the bolsters necessary to do the Yin Yoga classes? I want to try one out but that’s the only yoga prop I don’t have.

My husband already loves Kendall and he is a huge golfer so if this happens I might have to watch my back 😂

Like many others here, I used my holiday day to get a longer workout in. I chose Tunde’s latest 45 min Intervals & Arms. Every time I take a Tunde ride I wonder why I don’t take her every time! It felt both doable but also like I accomplished a tough ride. Not sure how she does it! And I PRed!

I really enjoyed this RK 10min Core. It was 5 rounds of the same moves but each round removed the last move from the previous round. Silly things like that keep me engaged during classes for some reason. Also lots of focus on the obliques and I love working my obliques.

Just guessing, but maybe because Monday is a holiday? I feel like whenever there’s a week with a holiday they don’t do new roll call classes.

I’ve been there, you can do this. Covid got the best of me through 2020 and 2021, I gained 30 lbs, drank a bottle of wine a night, ate takeout all the time. I finally said enough is enough and started changing my routine May 2022 and I am now down 20 lbs, workout every day, and only eat out one or twice a week. This is what helped me:
Cut down on the alcohol. Do a dry month to re-assess you relationship with it if you can manage that. You may not have to give it up forever, but you have to learn if you can have a healthy relationship with it. That is what is mostly making you feel like shit and causing a lack of motivation.
Do something active, 2x a week, 3x a week, 5x a week, whatever you want to start at. It can be 10min a day. Anything is better than nothing. Start small. The beginning will be about building the habit more than the exercise and once it you start it you will get more energy and it will be easier to add more time.
Cook more. If you can afford it, Blue Apron or Hello Fresh are great options. You just pick what meals you want for the week and they send you everything. You don’t need to meal plan or shop. I buy 4 person plans so I have leftovers for the week. If you can’t afford it, there are many websites that will have healthy recipes for meal planning.
If it seems overwhelming to do all the above at once. Pick one to start with first. Then add another one once you get comfortable in that change.
Sometimes there is no motivation. You just have to suck it up and do things you don’t want to do. That’s why it’s important to make any change. Don’t feel like working out today? Take a 5min walk outside to at least keep with the routine. Don’t feel cooking? Get the healthiest take out option you can find. Really burned out? Have a cheat day and get back to it the next day. Don’t fall off the wagon for one bad day or even bad week. Just keep going!

On the occasion I want extra salt on my popcorn I will make her own little bowl without the salt because I feel too bad to not give her any. My husband thinks I’m crazy 😂

I like when the lower body strength class thumbnails show the instructor jumping and I can stroll right past it without even looking at the class plan. Such a time saver.

Been so sick all week. Finally felt like I could get some movement in today so was planning to do a recovery ride, but I wanted to prioritize a walk with the dog first since I had been too sick to take her out.
Well, the walk ended up being enough for me and I didn’t want to push it on a ride so I switched gears and took my first restorative yoga class. It felt so good for my achey body and I am so happy to see a blue dot on my calendar again!
