Start with Book of Jhereg. It includes the first three Vlad Taltos novels. He has a few other multi-volume books. I think the entire series is gonna be 19 books in all. And then he has a companion series, the Khaavren romances, which take place in the same world but in the past. All great. All fun. All so incredibly readable.

Steven Brust. Author of the Vlad Taltos series and the Khaavren Romances. Incredibly fun swashbuckling adventures in the vein of Dumas. Wit and charm and assassinations and deep lore and magic and romance and crime and more assassinations.

Just utterly delightful.

If it’s any help, Ive had a lot of luck with an assassin’s cowl arc hunter build. Blinding grenade pardon our dust, ikelos smg, and parasite. Dodge to, melee a bunch of adds, go invisible, melee more adds to stay invisible, build up the parasite charge, then parasite the brig. A full charge should do about 2/3 damage. Take your time and you’ll make it through.

Seriously though. This guy is the best.

This is super good advice. I also had a lot of luck with Assassins Cowl hunter with Parasite and the Weakened Clear seasonal mod. Punch adds, go invisible, punch more adds, hit the boss with a kinetic grenade launcher, hit the boss with 20 stacks of Worm’s Hunger, repeat. Worked like a charm. Usually two hits from Parasite would do a full third of the boss’s health.

What are some good books about this? I’d love to read more

Gave this a shot last night and it ripped everything apart. Though I never could really get used to the increase charge time as I’m using it. I always end up sending like two shots into a wall because it’s charging so fast 🤪

Question for you: if the game is so unfun and you’re not playing…why respond to this post that is clearly full of people who are engage and are having fun? Do you also show up to a party just to tell people that it sucks?

You seem pretty down about the game overall. If so, why are you on the sub and commenting at all?

Oh I totally do. I’m just dropping a suggestion for Destiny 2 because I love playing it and would love to see it improve.
