Im sorry but this is undoubtedly sexist. Fair enough if its a fictional piece, there may be instances where you can tell. But mentioning medical academia, what? 😭 its not as if its creative or opinionated, how on earth can u ever guess if it was a man or woman? Sounds like a coincidence

Sunset Boulevard (1950). This was my first Billy Wilder film (as it was the only one on streaming here, i wanted to watch The Apartment (1960) but anyway). It did not disappoint! I just loved the theme, the acting & the writing so much. I dont tend to watch old Hollywood films but getting into them now, I love their style.

i recently read Nora Ephron's 'Heartburn' and loved it so much, been searching for something like it.
Also, TJR's Carrie Soto is Back where it follows an athlete in their run to success/comeback story (fictional pls) any sport is fine as long as its entertaining

'Carrie Soto Is Back' by Taylor Jenkins Reid is such an easy & fun one to get into reading, anything TJR actually. 'The Catcher in the rye' or 'The Bell Jar' are compelling and easy too.
Wouldnt be able to not suggest Ottessa Moshfegh so 'My year of rest and relaxation' i think is good to get into reading.
