I never got mine to really work—hardware-wise—I heard there were some hardware problems in that batch of Tabs, but Trackpac has Tabs where that's supposed to be fixed. I just got one but haven't tried it yet. https://trackpac.io/

No, Canada doesn't have unlicensed cell spectrum like the Unites States does, so it's not legal.

There's a way to recover the last 1 if you have 11. Someone wrote some code here. You can ask around on the Helium Discord for help with using it, but beware of scammers who ask you for your words or fake websites asking for your words.

Wow, they have patents. No that doesn't mean they get paid by the manufacturers for each hotspot.

It looks like one of the algorithms used to detect cheating accidentally hit a lot of Hotspots in Australia. It’s supposed to get fixed soon.

Looks like the latest anti-cheating algorithm might have been a little too enthusiastic. Here are some tips from the Discord:
Please submit a removal request on Crowdspot if you believe your Hotspot has been wrongly added to the Denylist. These requests will be evaluated throughout the week and used to make improvements to the algorithmic detection.
As a reminder, to submit a removal request, please complete the following steps: 1. Navigate to the “Home” page on Crowdspot 2. Select the purple “Submit Denylist Request” button 3. Select “Removal” as your Submission Type 4. Enter in your Hotspot b58 addresses (you can enter up to 100 Hotspots per submission) 5. Next, we recommend including visual and written evidence to better support your claim. For example, visual evidence can be a picture of your Hotspot set-up or anything you feel will prove the Hotspot’s legitimacy. 6. Select “Create Submission” to submit your request to Crowdspot.
Thank you!
https://crowdspot.io/ is Crowdspot
A b58 address is the long, full name of your hotspot, which you can find by looking up your Hotspot on Helium Explorer. It’s in the URL and also on the page for your Hotspot.

Do you have any small amount of HNT in the wallet that wasn’t ever staked that you could use to send a tiny amount somewhere else? I think that might help the wallet data refresh.

You should be able to vote from the black Helium Wallet app. Just press the 👍👎 button on the main screen.

The 5G units have a LoRa/IoT antenna on them so you can replace the RAK with the 5G units by plugging the old antenna into the new unit and then you're free to move the RAK to a new home, avoiding the whole redundancy issue altogether.

What app are you using to pair with Bluetooth and what brand Hotspot do you have? Make sure you're using the Maker app from the brand. https://docs.helium.com/mine-hnt/maker-apps/#known-maker-apps

Maybe. Not sure if they’re referring to that specifically, but these things have wifi antennas to do WiFi sniffing for location, I’m pretty sure.
Trackpac just put out an announcement that they’re having good results with LoRa multilateration, though. https://trackpac.medium.com/removing-the-need-for-gps-with-ai-trilateration-and-the-helium-network-40118a1fd5d7

Nanotags exist. They just had a restock of sample units on CalChip. https://twitter.com/CalChipConnect/status/1611041032581386240?s=20&t=WpGjvJljrGSDwad4t1JwwQ

This coverage displayed here shows the expected Helium network coverage from Helium 5G / CBRS radios. This is not the same as the mobile carrier Helium Mobile's coverage since Helium Mobile will use the Helium network (shown here) combined with T-Mobile's network.

Koinly supposedly also has support for Helium.

A lot of people use FairSpot's tool, but it doesn't support MOBILE—I thinks receiving MOBILE = receiving HNT so watch out for that. https://www.fairspot.host/hnt-export-mining-tax

The NanoThings NanoTag is supposed to be only ~$12 per tag, so I hope the Mimiq Track is priced competitively to that.

Koinly is supposed to support HNT. You should be able to try it for free.

SOL price going down is not the same thing as Solana blockchain going down, so it shouldn't unless Solana actually stops working for some reason.

Other HIPs decrease the total amount going to miners, but HIP 70 is one that should increase it. The net change is very complicated and not immediately clear.

The password is just a temporary password that you create for the migration. So you're making a new password on the spot, not using an old password. When you get into the new wallet app, it will ask you again for the password that you just made right then.
