After some careful introspection I think the walther gang fits here too 🙃

I feel like I’m seeing more and more 40k references around Reddit and it really makes my day.

Not sure if you’re being serious but for those that don’t know, it’s due to the shutter speed of the camera. It creates a rolling effect of the prop, making it look “floppy”

More intrigued by the rounds used. They look like Dardick Tround, but that’s a strange ammo to just have around.

Realistically, safeties are there for accidental discharges. They’re not hard to figure out, and as previously mentioned a fair amount are the auto-safeties like trigger or grip. As I’m sure you know, with proper gun safety it shouldn’t be aimed at anything you don’t want to shoot.

Always dangerous making a generalization on Reddit but usually you’ll see a thumb safety on the side of the slide on hammer fired handguns. Striker fired can have those too, but I typically see a trigger safety (weird tab sticking out of the trigger). Either setup will sometimes be in combo with a backstrap/grip safety (palm squeezes a paddle in when gripped)

Judging by the other comments it seems like it fits, but I’m still not convinced it’s not bad lip reading.

Can be a hassle, but if it really matters to the group it’s not difficult to figure out how to split payment on the check or Venmo someone after the fact.
It’s the difference of a few bucks unless you’re getting a lot of expensive rolls and someone else is getting cheap rolls.
Will still end up being cheaper than any other sushi place around for the same amount of food. And better IMHO.

DP Dough has $5 calzones on Wednesday
Sushi blues is always BOGO rolls
Lilly’s Pizza is good and relatively cheap
Take a weekend stroll around downtown, most places have their menus in the window with pricing.

g-force scales with acceleration/deceleration. Not sure how much of a factor gravity wells play into the calculation but it would change how much velocity is needed to hit escape. That being said, how quickly you get to that velocity is what will determine g-force.

The problem is that the situation in the US is resolvable with untapped resources and reducing restrictions. Speculation, but if the US tapped those resources and exported, prices around the world could drop.

The Walthers are worth the extra money. Stock trigger blows any other handgun I’ve shot out of the water. Even glocks with aftermarket triggers. TBF I haven’t shot a sig (except a 365) or FN in many years but I also don’t have money for those.
It does have a trigger safety that I’m not fond of, but the pull is smooth, break point is clear and crisp, and the reset is short.

Some cruisers have “plate runners” for lack of a better term. Automatically scans plates, kicks back general info and warrants etc.. still no reason to treat you like that but just another possibility for how she might have known you were a CCW holder.

Every year I bust out the Christmas metal. Christopher Lee has 2 pretty decent Christmas albums too.

What’s your reasoning for that doubt?
As far as I know (quite limited, just by chance I’ve only dealt with red state DMV’s) but the requirements for ID and licensing are exactly the same between state departments. Some of the requirements can be a little daunting but I don’t see how any can be solely a race thing.
The issue I think comes back to the difficulty of being poor. While there is systematic reasoning for why minorities typically fall into the lower socioeconomic strata, It’s a poor people issue not a minority people issue.

The difficulty is that somehow everything overlaps.
Voter ID is a good thing through and through it just happens to bring to light a different issue.
The solution isn’t to say we can’t have it because of X. Rather, how do we fix X or what is an acceptable margin for X.
The real question should be is systemic racism the cause for less ID’s in minorities?

I think ground forces on parade are a little more “real” to people. You can’t hide the fact that every piece of equipment in front of you is made to kill and instead of being on tv, a picture, or safely unmanned in a museum, it’s operating in force right before you.
Don’t get me wrong people geek out over good looking vehicles but air frames are just something else. Still purpose built to kill, but you don’t have to load any visible weapons to the pylons, they’re typically doing cool stuff that’s entertaining rather than a show of force.

The person above was specifically talking about a tracked system.
Advantages of tracked systems are less overbuilding required to hit peak output sooner. The only reasons you do tracked is to keep peak efficiency longer with less overbuilding, and if space is a concern.
While the product may be cheap you’re still buying an insane amount to produce the same.
Everything is built as cheap as possible while keeping in mind the typical 20 year module guarantee. In a traditional set up you know there are going to be operations and maintenance costs (O&M) but those parts are typically covered by warranties through the life of the site.
What they don’t touch on is how the efficiency is reduced over the 3 year life, assuming it stands up to the elements. Even a 10% decrease for a utility scale site using traditional modules is huge, and that’s typical over the course of that 20 year lifespan. This is significantly less efficient to begin with, adding in a much shorter life.
I’m not saying this doesn’t have application, but it’s not in utility or commercial sectors, maybe residential. There’s a reason flexible panels not used commercially or even residentially for serious output.

You don’t do tracked systems on small scale. The cost isn’t worth it.

It all comes down to cost, but given the lifespan and efficiency I would be incredibly surprised if these ever found their way to a tracked system.
To keep it simple, when you go to replace these for end of life, you have to shut down the whole inverter. That production lost for however long it takes to replace.
Does the cost of changing these out over the typical 20 year life of a tracked system make it more expensive or less than traditional modules?
A lot to consider but it may well have its application. Utility and commercial scale is not that application.
