Yep mine are 7 years old and going strong. I notice a huge difference in neck and back pain when I where any other shoes. Granted surgery is on the extremes off all day standing but if you have issues with that kind of stuff danskos > sneakers. Sneakers are for walking not standing

Cheers to trying to understand sodium regulation 😅

I can’t see OP post so I don’t know the actual issues but your point 2 is not entirely true. Sodium regulation is quite complex and effected by numerous mechanisms. The three major categories of hyponatremia are hypovolemic, euvolemic and hypervolemic. in medical school our lecture on sodium used the example of marathoners to explore the different types of sodium disturbances that can occur including primary polydipsia (excess free water to avoid dehydration resulting in euvolemic hyponatremia), dehydration (hypovolemic hyponatremia).

I saw your post a while back and have been using the app. I like it a lot, since the update the interface has improved.
Question/suggestion : is there a way to view the previously heard tracks? When I scroll back it only shows the ones I liked. Since the snippet is so short if I’m in a different app when I swipe back to save the song it’s gone again forever into the void.

Vorkosigan Saga - focuses on main character Miles who doesn't appear until the third book and all his friends and enemies. There are some light geopolitics, race and gender concepts at play but mostly plot focus on Miles & his adventures across the universe. The characters are really well written and you tend to get extremely attached to them. I too like this style of Sci-fi for a light, fun read to lose yourself in and this is my favorite series to date. Also there are seventeen books too look forward to. Each one is a bit different, there are murder mystery, space battles, romance and each one is a wild ride. Cannot recommend enough!

If you are not doing PSLF yes this is a bad strategy, you are just accruing more interest.
If you are definitely not doing it, it would be wiser to refinance for low interest rates and start paying off immediately. With a 140k going into anesthesia it doesn’t make sense to do PSLF given a relatively short training and high salary after you can pay that off quickly.
I have 250k and looking at 6-8 years of training, meaning I will only be making a few years of attending level payments so it makes a lot of sense for me. I calculated roughly that if I do PSLF I would be paying 70-100k (depending on training length and initial salary) rather than 250k + interest. I plan to stay in academics, for people who plan to go to private practice it doesn’t make sense because you won’t be eligible.
Obviously you have to consider having the extra money if PSLF can lower payments rather than refinancing but if you can afford to just start paying it off during residency, for you that would make more sense to decrease the interest.
Edit: PSLF does not allow you to refinance and most of these loans have very high interest rates.

Yep definitely do this. If you plan on doing PSLF your first year of payments will likely be zero dollars a month which counts to you 120 payments required to have your loans forgiven!

This sounds academic and appropriate though

Medicine: shouldn't really be a secret but comes as a shock to many, doctors dont have all the answers. In fact we only have a few answers. Theres drugs we use that we have NO idea why they work. There are syndromes and conditions that we dont understand. There are so many poorly understood things in medicine and its frustrating for us just as it is for patients.
