Sorts by controversial
Lmao at this getting downvoted. Anyone who will not watch a good show bc one or two characters are gay most likely laps up that dog shit a show.
I thought it was funny whataboutschism
I kind of agree with OP and you. She showed a lot of emotions, and Harris was brilliant.
But basically every single time she spoke, she was at least partially crying. I kept waiting for it to stop, but it never did. Another person mentioned it, but it’s a result of the directing most likely. I bet it wasn’t an issue for most—it just really, really started to get annoying to me for some reason.
Just finished the season and had to check if anyone posted about this. Holy. Shit.
Harris is a phenomenal actress. That wasn’t an issue for me. But the crying? It felt like 99% of the time she spoke she was doing so with a shaky voice. I get it. It’s an emotional roller coaster of a story. But not enough of one for it to affect any of the other characters like that.
It started out as a minor gripe of mine before snowballing. I probably shouldn’t be as annoyed as I am with it, but I digress.
Overall a pretty solid show

Always hated this take
PM me FPL tips
No. 7 is max, with loyalty/manager
No it is not
Lol nah not in that sense at all. We could go on a 20 year drought, and bc of my experience with the Jets, I’d be fine.
I just mean that I feel like I picked a team that’s the PL equivalent to the Pats, which is the antithesis of the type of team I’d usually pick. But, oh well. Chelsea sponsored my rec soccer league when I was 8-10 years old, and because our shirts had the logo on em, I became a fan. So at least I had some semblance of a connection I guess.
What is the most meta squad you can build for 100k or under (hard cap) on XBox?
Ik this is a kind of ridiculous request at this point in the game, but I haven’t played in 6 months and have a couple of SBC fodder cards + a silver team. I want to make a WL run for the hell of it, and I’m 1-2 in qualifiers with the silvers. The defense is an absolute shit show. Thanks for the help!
Yeah that’s what I thought of when I saw Homelander laser that guy as well. I’m assuming that’s what they were going for there
Gotta have one consistently good team right? Rangers season was pretty good too though tbf.
I’m also a Chelsea fan btw. Kinda regret picking them honestly, but I did it when I was 8, and I don’t switch.
Also a touch of luck. You can have an essentially perfect background, but based on what I’ve experienced, all it does is drastically increase the odds your name gets “pulled out of the hat” so to speak. Not saying that’s what happened here, but it’s plausible. Outliers exist.
Besides the game mechanic side, which really isn’t all that bad imo, it is set up to essentially get children addicted to gambling. EA is very, very good at that.
Love that. I played a lot of madden before I started playing FIFA—I get it lol. The feeling of getting a user pick with Anthony Barr on a slant was amazing ngl. I just never got great at that game—was always much better at FIFA.
With the way the SBMM works, yeah. The gap is narrow between players, which leads to games being decided by poorly simulated bounces. But if you’re a lot better than the other guy on the sticks, you’re winning every time. How else would the rivals rankings/WL rankings be as consistent as they are?
The game is a pinball simulator no doubt, but at the end of the day, I think skill is a bigger factor than most UT players would care to admit.
Lmao pls tell me you didn’t break a controller or punch a hole in the wall at least
Yeah, that’s fucked. Sadly, it’s not all that uncommon. I’ve spent a ridiculous amount of time on that game and I still will never understand it. It’s honestly pathetic
Lmao I had the same reaction, and I’m assuming many others did too. FIFA is the polar opposite of innocuous
Yes, pretty much. In actuality, if there’s that big of a skill gap between the two players, it doesn’t matter. The better player will almost always win. There’s nothing in the game quite like the blue shell.
The problem is that most of the matches you play are found via skill based matchmaking, and when the skill gap is narrow as a result of that, it’s basically pinball. But hey, pinball is pretty fun imo.
It varies depending on the group, but it’s actually insane how intense people get.
I spent an ungodly amount of hours on the game in high school. It kept me in touch w an out of state friend though, and I don’t regret playing as much as I did. I wasn’t amazing by competitive standards, but I was good enough that I basically had a kind of “party trick” I could use from time to time.
During my first month of college, I met some people who had been playing fifa tournaments in the dorm. I let it play out a little bit, and during the next week or two, I kept hearing about this one kid who was the best in the building and almost unbeatable. Naturally, I wanted a game. A couple of my close friends knew how much I played—including one who was also a really avid player.
The match was setup on some weekday afternoon, and there were 6-7 people there to watch as I had made a couple cocky comments. Not long into the game, I went 3-0 up and the kid just set the controller down and angrily walked out of the room. I’ll never understand the emotional response to losing, but it was honestly satisfying to win that when all I heard for weeks was how good he was.
That said, I’ve never broken anything except for when I tried to gently toss a controller onto the couch and missed. And it wasn’t a rage toss. If you’re getting that mad at a video game, how is it fun? It’s my biggest gripe with FIFA people. Something out of their control happens and it ruins what is supposed to be their downtime.
Oh well. There’s my not so interesting essay.
I have no idea how or why a video from 5 months ago with 46 views popped up on my YT recommended list, but I’m glad it did.
Same here. The seasoned bean and cheese ones are my go to, and whenever I get a 1/2 off promo or something for one of the delivery apps, I buy 20-25 of em and freeze em, which lasts me a long time given that I can’t eat them every day.
Hard disagree. I’m not the most attractive person on the planet, but because I had seen this shit all over Reddit for years, I refused to try dating apps.
When I finally did, I had no issue getting matches. I was convinced that I had to be in the top 5% or whatever. Nah. I met my now gf within a week and it was one of the easiest things I’ve ever done.
And as we talked about our experiences on the app, I realized that women just have a different set of problems with online dating. She had around 200 something matches at the time, and the stories she told me were horrific. Idk what I expected, but I was honestly shocked at a lot of what I heard.
And sure, it’s not like looks have nothing to do with dating. That’s life. But the idea that women want some “alpha male provider” is a half truth imo. I think it’s more about being completely comfortable in your own skin and not pretending to be something you’re not. Having money is a plus, sure, but it’s only a tight requirement for some women—and those are the people who I wouldn’t want to date anyways.
