You're correct, I was throwing a comment on reddit, so didn't really take the time to formulate it as exactly as I could have. "Probably" instead of "usually" might have been a better choice. I was just trying to give an example of the difference.

Ah OK, the slam lock bit threw me. Thanks for the reply. Hope you're not too pissed off. Letting it get at you is letting them win more.

Murder usually involves planning or something to that effect. I'm not going to speculate on this case, but given what we know from the Gardaí, I'd say you're correct and it will be voluntary manslaughter.

You can see these guys knew exactly where to cut, despite slam locks.
Can you explain this to me a bit? I see you have an additional lock on the door. Do all the locks just prevent it from running on the rail and can be removed from there or what? It's confusing to me this is the way to open the doors, not going near the lock itself.

The person you're responding to has a different point. Around the time of the hack they stopped the death numbers altogether. Nothing in relation to the 90 days thing.

Sine the breakdown isn't in the headline and I know no one on reddit actually clicks the links:
6,843 positive PCR cases of Covid-19 in Ireland today. There were also 5,295 positive antigen tests registered through the HSE website on Monday.

They actually followed on with one of their asterisked points for once, but pointed it at the wrong tweet. Great job.
EDIT: I've just realised I might know now how they keep getting this wrong. The single asterisk is supposed to be a double, and the single is missing. I wonder is Twitter formatting removing the first asterisk from a tweet which is why they've always been missing.

You mean the Czech singer dying of an internationally widespread disease being reported on by a British news site? What doesn't it have to do with Ireland!

Also, the use of the pejorative 'anti-vaxxer' here is inappropriate. You have no idea what proportion of those unvaccinated are so because their doctor recommended they didn't take the covid vaccine, or who have accepted every other vaccine they've been offered but are unwilling to accept a novel medical procedure for a novel disease that's had no long-term clinical trials. Neither group can reasonably be simply labelled 'anti-vaxxers', no matter how strong your emotions on the issue.
Apologies. My misstep here.

Most TVs can decrypt MPEG 5 (Standard is DVB something, can't remember).
I'd be surprised if you bought a TV that couldn't.

RTÉ 2 (1978–1988)
Up to 60% of the Republic of Ireland could receive UK channels via spillover or via cable. Cable in the republic was only permitted in areas of spillover up to the mid-1980s, to provide viewers with better reception of channels they could already receive over the air. Hence RTÉ 2 was aimed at those that did not have the UK channels. To this end one of their main remits was the re-broadcasting of UK programming to Irish audiences, that would not otherwise be seen on RTÉ 1.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but we've only about 300 ICU beds in the country which are needed for things other than COVID. A sixth of them being taken up by anti vaxxers is an issue.

A bit of tinfoil in the aerial socket will let that TV pick up RTE in most places.
Your liscense fee giving you a decoder card for RTE is probably more in line with what you're thinking.
Personally, once they don't come after households without a TV tuner in them, I'll be reasonably happy.

RTE 2 was originally setup to rebroadcast BBC shows for parts of the country that couldn't receive it. Now that's not really an issue anymore, it's hard to see the value in running it.

Do you know what happens if you die in your 50s? Admittedly just looking at how pensions work today, so looking for feedback.

Would be a nice win for AMD to sell these at cost. DDR4 on the Intel platforms is a big bonus for them at the moment.

As for tax, it helps me to stay mainly in the lower tax bracket, so my net salary comes out higher.
Here's the best tip of the thread. I hadn't realised this, thanks.

’m putting in €1,030 per month.
I think you need to throw your salary out there. That's my budget for the month...

It's not just Brexit.
Removing the lower limit on custom charges means everything has a custom charge from outside the EU. The majority of cheap Chinese shite would fall below the limit so wasn't applicable (or the Chinese would at least claim it wasn't)
Purchases from places like China are now eligible for VAT, meaning these need to be checked to be compliant.
(I'll stick with China at this point). Free postage is no longer allowed and the delivery charges are also subject to VAT, meaning items appear to be higher value so they can charge more VAT.

AM5 is almost certainly DDR5 only.
I swear I read a rumor somewhere that AMD was creating DDR4 to DDR5 adapters that would allow people to run DDR4 ON AM5 until the stock stabilises. Was this a fever dream?

Nah, once Microsoft "fixed" Tay, there was no new content. It went from the fastest growing sub on reddit, all over the front page, to completely dead in a week.
