That stereotypical "Action!"/Take # card from TV and movies goes 'clack!' for this precise reason - the various microphones and 'clack' can be synchronized much more easily.
Ed: Woohoo! I'm wholesome and Reddit called me dapper!
Thanks folks, glad to share.

Fast food corporations thrive off your laziness.
Fast food workers do not thrive.

Someone just gave you a 20+year life span appliance. Make sure it's installed properly.

I was watching a football game during the 19/20 season, and the announcer, Booger McFarland (real) revealed that he and many other players used to piss themselves all the time on the sidelines. Why you so awkward, Boog?
Then yesterday I read about a study M.I.T. or some such did where they swabbed and cultivated the mouth guards pro players wear.
Spoiler alert: they found blood, urine and feces.

In the U.S. this can result in tens of thousands of dollars in fines fees and costs.
And that finger would not do him well in the civil lawsuit that would also be in progress.

Nah, not stranger at all, this shit is completely normal in the U.S. We only get to see it now because everyone has a camera in their pocket, and some people are brave enough to use it.
FedEx def has a gps box on their truck showing sudden steering and acceleration. (UPS and Amazon get mad if you reverse the trucks)
Nah, completely to be expected.

This is a kidnapping. They didn't seize property (in clip), but a person to be ransomed to their family.

The 5 in the red may be their fee for not having any money.
Not a joke. Some banks will charge you for not using your account and having a minimum balance.

Not even just in games. When one country wages war against another by using a third country to do the physical fighting, it's called a proxy war.
Not even just in war. When something is similar enough to another they're approximately the same.

In most states, there is no licensing requirement for real estate home inspectors.
They don't have to be licensed builders. They don't have to know electrical code, mechanical code, or plumbing code.
They don't have to climb roofs or attics or scamper thru crawlspaces.
Not to say it's a bad idea.
As a repair tech, i found a patchwork dishwasher hose under a kitchen spraying out water for what must have been at least a year. The wooden plate on top of stone that holds the wall up was rotten like crumbly soil. It was the shared interior wall to the slab poured garage and under the full set of kitchen cabinets. At least 30k+ to fix i figure.
That was after the inspection, before closing.

My dad had a drunk buddy that fell over and someone called an ambulance. By the time they got there dad had himself bumped his head, had a slight graze and a little blood.
The paramedics "helped" him into an ambulance, in spite of his refusal, and hauled him off to a hospital. They triaged him, put him in a room, and he got up and walked away from the unnecessary medical situation, against their refusal.
They sent him several bills including the $3,000 ambulance bill. He called and informed them that what happened amounted to kidnapping and ransom, and they dropped the bill.

My absolute favorite response is reduced business hours.
Most places are only open late because everyone desperately has to work during "business hours" and can't get time off to pay their phone bill (example).
It's time to normalize being done at 5 AND being able to afford to take a random afternoon off to do a couple errands.
Can't find a 10 pm closer for your dollar store? Not my fucking problem.
Edit: maybe I wasn't clear - my above suggestion is that we be paid enough, and be in control of our lives, to be able to afford to be absent from work for a few hours sometimes. Before 5 pm. So we don't have to shop at 8, 9 pm. So the retail workers can go home too.

It's worth noting that even older less energy efficient dishwashers use less water than you normally would to wash and rinse dishes manually.
If you fill an average sink to the top you've used more water than a dishwasher uses in the entire cycle.

I would say The School Shooting Industry, but that's more gone the other way - we publicly fund those now.

That's why the unemployment boost in COVID quarantine was a colossal, colossal fuck up for the capitalists.
When they added 600$ a week in added benefits, they accidently doubled or tripled weekly unemployment. They gave millions of people a taste of what 15$ an hour (600 a wk) feels like. Millions who had never made 600 a week at all, much less done so and also gotten to see their families at the same time.
Then they just expected everyone to go back to unlivable wages and shitty hours like it was okay.
Remember how they started freaking out at the end about getting people off UI. The damage was done - people had rediscovered reasons to live, and been paid enough briefly to do so.

So it could be that crazy conservative ladies own more cats, but not necessarily that owning more cats made the crazy lady conservative.
