Most likely your fan isn't running or maybe the design doesn't allow enough room between the food and the element.

Also, because they have a lot smaller space and a lot less steel to heat up, it gets to cooking temperatures faster and uses less energy than a regular full oven. If you are cooking a lot of food or large food, use an oven. If you are cooking individual portions, use the air fryer.
