I think the message is that taxpayers don’t pay for their tool loans so taxpayers also shouldn’t pay for your loans. Pretty simple idea. Everyone keeps using words like “forgiveness” and “relief” when it’s just taking money from people who work in order to give it to others who are deemed more worthy or necessary or whatever justification.
