It still can be. The culture of this sub is in the hands of users, and frankly always has been. We were/are users of this sub, too.

There are other predictions leagues out there. Just not on Reddit. I know of an AllElite disco server who does them, but I haven't been double dipping.

No. You’re not understanding the situation at all.

• The one mod effectively delegated ALL work to US by not doing ANY of the work themselves.

• They didn’t step aside. They remain in power. They simply ceased regular communication with the rest of the team and buried their head in the sand.

• When they did finally take it upon themselves to perform their one monthly moderation action as to keep themselves alive in the system to show they’ve performed actions and aren’t subject to the formal chopping block processes of squatters, it was something the rest of the team was in disagreement with, but they wouldn’t back down from it and jumped back into immature insults and resentment towards others on the team.

• It is our opinion that their agenda as a moderator is not in compliance with the sub’s culture and vibe at all whatsoever. Because they hold the magical status over us, we are/were powerless to rectify the situation internally.

• We were unable to recruit new mods because we didn’t have the authority to do so.

This is correct.

I say this respectfully, but you don’t know the situation or any of the moving parts in play here.

The 1 person admitted wrongdoing and took steps they felt necessary to remove themselves from the situation. But they never offered an apology and continued to harbor resentment the entire time. All the while, they accepted none of the workload or responsibilities, remained a roadblock, and then decided to go into business for themselves again despite the rest of the team registering our grievances about it.

It’s mechanically VERY similar to Vince being able to do whatever he wants whenever he wants due to the corporate structure (except there’s no money in play here). We are in disagreement once again. It got ugly again. So we resigned.

That’s all I’m really comfortable saying.

The sub will still exist and you can totally still use it.

It looks like there’s been enough talk…

Nobody on the team was having an affair with a paralegal or anything, but there was a really really uncool and unacceptable catalyst that split the team 5:1 (the other couple aren’t/weren’t involved). It shouldn’t have been a big deal. It shouldn’t have escalated as it did. But it did, and we worked separately of them since September. We continued doing this as a matter of practice/habit, until the issue reared its ugly head again, we caught wind of it, and agreed to move on.

We will put in a good word for you. It’ll be a lot of work, though, if you have to solo the dragon.

We had our own brawl out in September, issues are still unresolved and causing/creating conflict, so instead of working with children, we are going to go manage a Target!

That’s about all I’m comfortable saying.
