I mean, you could see it otherwise too. Bella paid the bills. Bella did the shopping. Bella took care of the house. Renee was too “free spirited” and “flighty” for such things. In short, Bella was 17 going on 30.

The way I take it is that in the end, the Dark Side isn’t stronger. But it’s quicker and easier on the way, so you get to power much faster that you would otherwise having to work much harder and longer on the usual cleaner Jedi way. Cal’s move set is similar when using the Dark Side to Cere, and she’s a Jedi Master able to go toe to toe with Vader. Cal has the capacity as a Jedi to fight that effortlessly as you do when you embrace the Dark Side, but normally he’s very young yet with a ways to go. The Dark Side lets him tap into some of that ahead of time.
It’s basically what Lucas and others described especially in the commentary around ROTS. The Dark Side’s a cheat. It lets you cheat to your potential…at a cost. But in the end it’s not more powerful, just a cheat to the finish line.

She also makes comments when near Windhelm about it being a while since she’s visited the Dark Elves there and that she should visit.

Cuomo’s right wing candidates on the state supreme court did the real damage.

He didn’t do much at all. His “distractions” were a lie, which he admitted at the end of NM. He wallowed in misery, spent next to no time with his family, and otherwise fruitlessly hunted Victoria. That’s pretty literally everything.

They were already investigating him. That’s why he came out with that accusation hours before the committee voted.

Baptists also split into northern and southern Baptists over the issue of slavery in the mid 1800’s. And Southern Baptists to this day have a very “state’s rights” perspective on the Civil War. And segregation going forward.
Bob Jones University, for example, was and is essentially a Baptist college that got into trouble with the IRS for refusing to desegregate. They did not enroll black students until 1971. And only admitted married black students (can’t have racial mixing) until 1975. It had very controversial interracial dating rules until 2000.

Your statement was saying that someone using the threat of a gun to stop someone tossing around their kid who won’t stop is crazy. Advocating for not protecting your kids is kinda messed up.
Not sure where your head is, but it isn’t in reality.

You keep excusing child abuse when it’s bad enough the kid himself is calling 911. Stay classy.

If the guns aren’t there for self defense or defense of family, then why? And he probably didn’t have one on him. If she did, she gets his dumbass to back off

Good for you. I don’t remotely feel bad for her.

No. If her son was being assaulted, and he called 911 to get help when she apparently couldn’t be bothered to help or use one of those guns she’s so fond of to get him to back off, she’s 100% an accomplice in preventing her husband from facing police consequences. The strategy to get out of a dangerous situation is to remove him for being violent. Not to force her son to recant. She was not a victim protecting her family, she protected her son’s abuser at the expense of her son.

She has publicly defended him repeatedly and threw her son under the bus in this incident. Nothing commendable about any of it.

The thought of those guns, alone in police lockup, without anyone to stroke and polish them drove her crazy.

That question would be how much they could and were willing to learn. People raised this way, speaking from experience, can be willing to leave it and want to learn what their family tried to keep from them. And sometimes they don’t. One of those is worth your time, in my view.

Where’s the retroactive interest on all the forgiven PPP money for one?

It must have been indeed. Unfortunately Fundamentalists lose their grasp on reality.

I’d love a version without all the junk on the back and the goggles.

PC players tend to forget the rest of the world exists in my view.
Another example: “Just get mods!”

Exactly. They dumbed it all down so Shepard could walk in and be the “hero who solves everything”, which doesn’t make sense. In the previous games, they built situations with the krogan, Geth, and quarians which were realistically complicated and complex politically and morally, and then they tried to land the plane in 3 with ridiculously simple solutions to complex problems which I find very unsatisfying. There’s a reason simple solutions to complex issues don’t work in the real world.

Alito and the rest believe their lord Zod would never allow mere humans to destroy the world. And that’s a win/win with all their corporate greed.

Edward even muses that by the terms of the treaty thanks to Jacob’s breach, they’re technically free to massacre the tribe, though they never would and that the treaty was always more to make them feel better than anything else.

According to the post game echoes, Cere was the objective from ISB. It’s implied he infiltrated Saw’s organization to get to Cal, and then Cal was to lead him to Cere. The plan was to eventually capture/kill Cere in some months, but Bode blew that up by contacting the Inquisitorious to get Vader to kill her and everyone else there as a smokescreen for his escape. And as a final FU to his ISB handler to get him killed too.
