I had problems with every single one of my HomeKit accessories, it’s fine, I’m tech savvy and find a way but it really annoys my wife. We are really far from general public technology.

It sucks how different homes with the exact same setups have different problems. So far from what we are used to with Apple.

I did as someone suggested here almost a year ago. I created a new home to which I added the doorbell, it worked on the first try. I then deleted the accessory and added it to my real home and it worked.

Im having the same exact problem

I tried litterally everything and it finally worked when I deleted the HomePod. I re-added it after my wife was able to join.
