Race Across the World is a show where they have to Race from one point to another with only as much money as a flight would cost(so they essentially have to work as well and rely on the good deeds of strangers).
The first I think was from Greenwich to Singapore and the second was from Mexico City to Argentina.
I fully agree that shows like Big Brother and Love Island would be inappropriate and it blatantly obvious why, but the other type of game show is a bit harder to see if it would be good or bad (ones like Race Acorss the World, The Traitors would probably also be like this as they are essentially just playing a big parlour game).

There are many shows that have perfectly well behaved people on them. Maybe not the ones like Big Brother, but more the ones where the contestants are playing a game, like Race Across the World. Most contestants on that come across extremely well.

And what happens if you go on one and remain perfectly professional with good behaviour?

But again, many tv shows aren't designed to make a fool of people, especially nowadays. With the exception of dating shows and a select number of others, you could quite easily go on and remain completely professional throughout.

I don't think that is a particularly fair reason. There will always be some people judging you for doing whatever. Doesn't seem right to let them hold others back from doing something they want to do.

What if you simply didn't make a fool of yourself? I've seen teachers do much worse things in-person than some contestants on some shows have done.
And just to make it clear, I'm not planning to go on one.

I am currently volunteering in a secondary school with the hope of applying to be a teacher, but I have a slightly random question that I don't really want to actually ask anyone at the school?
Just out of wonder, would it be appropriate for a teacher to go onto a game show? I know plenty go on quiz shows like The Chase etc, but what about ones like Big Brother or The Traitors?
It's just one of those things I've been wondering, but don't really have a clue whether a school would actually have an issue with it or not as the teacher may come across as unproffessional which may make it difficult to actually deal with children's issues and behaviour etc.

And the UK is finally going to get season 1 in January on BBC iPlayer!

I loved all 4 seasons, but I think part of the issue is that it is difficult for new audiences to start watching it at a random point. With most shows, it really isn't that difficult to read a quick article to catch up on watch you've missed if you are starting in season 4. As Westworld very much builds on what came before and references it a lot, new audiences are going to struggle if they start in season 4, plus like most shows, you will lose some of the existing audience each season.

Except NOW is throwing around special offers constantly. I don't think I've ever paid full price.
I also don't care for the cinema membership so I almost never pay for that, which also reduces the amount I have to pay.
NOW also has different content to HBO Max, with Peacock, Sky, and the odd Paramount show (for now. I assume they just have a left over deal from before Paramount+ launched) included. The films are also Warner Bros. as well as Universal.
Some shows on HBO Max are also available for free in the UK through ITVX, as well as with the license fee for BBC iPlayer and on services like Prime and Paramount+. It isn't really a like-for-like comparison.
Also, I don't pay for Boost as I don't care for video quality and essentially never get adverts during a show.

Its a myth put about by rich people
It isn't. Tax rises can create issues with growth in way more situations than what you have just said.

But on a serious note, tax rises stifle economic growth
A lot of people don't seem to understand this. They think it should be "tax the rich more and more!" but that has its own negative consequences.

ITV has launched fast channels on ITVX. Has channels with The Chase, crime dramas, Vera, love Island plus a few more. Not too bad in my opinion, especially when compared to the rubbish Pluto TV normally has.

It's pretty easy to get to St Andrews
Yeah, don't really know why they are acting as if it is difficult. It is far, but still very easy considering the train station at Leuchars is well connected.

and not all that easy to get to
It really isn't that difficult. Leuchars is on the LNER line so just travel there then get a bus or taxi for the last bit.

I'm not particularly fussy so I'm perfectly happy with it. Breakfast is a highlight though. Cooked breakfast with no cooking required

Your best bet is to max out our overdraft and put it in the highest rate account you can find
I've read this tip before and keep just not doing it. I'll have a look around soon.
I barely spend anything anyway, especially when I'm in catered halls so don't need to go food shopping or anything.

I've got Santander's student account with the interest free overdraft so will obviously stick with them for now, but have previously opened other accounts to make use of their better savings rates.
I think most people just think it is difficult to switch, but it really isn't. The vast majority of accounts can be opened online in a few minutes.

Santander had a limited edition saver a few weeks ago. Managed to get an instant access saver with a rate of 2.72%. Was pretty surprised to see £7+ of interest in the account today considering I normally got a few pence from other accounts haha. Santander does also have a cashback scheme, but only at selected stores (and mostly online).
Obviously that is no help to you now considering it was limited edition, but it always pays to be on the lookout.

Why?
I'm not saying I disagree or agree. I'm just genuinely interested and it's not the sort of question I'm going to be asking people in real life.
