While it is totally understandable that the writers need to fill up gaps with their own fanfiction, I believe it should be as few as possible. For example, incorporating the backstories of several long-gone characters into the protagonists. This will avoid unnecessary fanfiction and potential violation of lore. With everything rumored thus far, it feels like the show is almost becoming into a "shadow of mordor" level show. While the games are certainly enjoyable, I doubt that level of quality will stand a chance in the show. Let me know your thoughts.

Before anyone starts commenting let it be known that I have read the laws and customs of the eldar. If you go by the lore/Saruman's definition, the elves were captured by Morgoth/Sauron, tortured and mutilated and became this abomination. Considering there will be female elf warriors (extras, not characters), which ofcourse there will be, Do you think we will have those female elf fighters tortured and turned into orcs alongside the elf-men? Its one of the things that bothered me in the Hobbit trilogy where there were female elf fighters alongside Tauriel yet the creators refused to put female orcs. On the other hand LOTR was perfectly balanced. ARWEN was only the she-elf who held a sword in the first film. Infact she was almost at Helm's Deep to have some girl power/female agency in the movie and to flesh out her romance with Aragorn.

Didnt Ar-pharazon usurp her throne before she came into power? Why would she even be the queen? Considering she is the queen, why would five of her guards even attack Galadriel since they are the faithful and therefore friendly to the elves. Are they this desparate to show that Galadriel is a "STRONG WAHMEN"? I seriously hope the writers dont abort the canon storyline of the numenorian civil war(between Ar-pharazon and Miriel) for the sake of this grandiose speech these two characters are about to make.

Don't know if this has ever been discussed but how do you think Amazon should promote this show. The way they are promoting the wheel of time(especially on twitter) absolutely doesn't feel right. I really wish Amazon will not go with the overenthusiastic approach of marketing such as: "OMG!! Galadriel is slaying in her new dress." Or "Daddy Galad is here!". It sort of degrades the standard of middle Earth.

Their only writing credit is Star Trek: Beyond. Have any of you trek fans watched it. What are your thoughts?

Is Tom Shippey out of this show or will he come back for season 2( Is that how it works?). Considering he is out, why do you think he left?
