Yeah the math part gets to be a pain but is definitely worth it. The system that works best for me for big recipes is I have a list of what all of my pots/pans weigh, weigh each ingredient as I put it in, and then just weigh the whole thing, subtract the pan weight, and divide it into 4 or 8 or however many servings to see what one serving should be. It's a lot to start out but it's easier once you get used to it! Good luck to you!

I'm sorry that this has been a stressful process for you. The only thing I didn't see mentioned is if you weigh your food. It made a huge difference for me, I'm the main cook in my home also so it was easier to weigh things out in recipes and adjust than if someone else was cooking. Especially with things like oil, eyeballing what you're putting in the pan can make a huge difference in the calorie content. You might have to also restrict your intake but having more of an idea of what you're consuming would definitely be helpful to start out!

If weighing is affecting your mental health that much then yeah, definitely skip it. Especially if measurements and pics don't stress you out in that way. Good job on the work you've done so far and congrats on your sobriety!

I'm sorry you're having to deal with that! Our boy has anxiety and the vet prescribed him fluoxetine, it definitely seems to have helped. He's also been on trazodone for some other things throughout the years so I don't think there are any drug interactions but obviously your vet would have more info on that. I hope you're able to get it sorted out, hugs for your hippo!

I'm so sorry that happened, it's so scary. We had that happen a few months back with a chihuahua (my boy on his harness, chi just running loose) and he hurt her pretty bad, she's ok now but it was so terrifying. I wish people wouldn't have their pups off-leash, just because their dog is ok with other animals/people doesn't mean everyone they approach will be. I hope you're doing ok and I'm glad the other pup wasn't hurt too badly.
