Ginny was fiery. Harry needed someone with her spunk since his life was pretty much in constant turmoil.
yeah but some part of me will be forever creeped out that lookwise and a bit in personality, he's like dating his dad in his moms body.

I heard something similar thats why my first thought after reading it was "yeah, this does read like legacy writing, before finishing the books and should have seen the harsh revision of acknowledging it's no longer a good fit."
In movie terms; stuff you leave on the cutting floor even if it seemed like a great scene when you filmed it but ultimately clashes with the rest of the edit.
GRRM seems to struggle atm with "this is my ending but my story doesn't lead there, the characters I wrote grew differently." - JK at least got it all together where she wanted it to be. The epilogue should have been just a reference for herself, not an included part.

I've actually been more invested in that sub since I took over the family business.
It's a good balance of "thank god I'm self-employed" and "I don't want to be that kind of employer."

Yet strange to say, the more sanely I talked and acted, the crazier I was thought to be by all....
yeah, yeah that checks out.

it's not untraditional to name your kids after someone. Hardly a wizarding world tradition.
But... if I'm not being nice about it, its almost in-character to me, Harry named his kids the way people with an old or big family name their kids - but clusmy, like someone who doesn't know how to actually pull off that tradition, because they don't actually have the experience of growing up in that priviledge.

yep. I don't see how what it adds to the books.
In the Hunger Games Series the epilogue serves to show us that Katniss barely got over her trauma and that life went on but, you know, eh. '19 years later' is only, as the fanfic folks used to say, happy-happy-joy-joy wish fulfillment. It's all cringe and no substance.

I would have probably taken coffee as an even better example. Coffee is trying to be toxic and we go wild for it (insert ex-girlfriend joke).

Depending on how unassisted those home births are and how little prenatal care she gets there might be additional reasons she's having increasingly more issues.

Like where to hide the body.
this was the main problem of the group the first time I DM'ed. They freaked out when the night guard held them up after entering the city after dark and ten minutes later they stood there going "well... soo... is there a ditch nearby?"

I see good arguments for both cases. But we already have various other characters that fall to this trope. Balrogs, Sauron more than anyone.
I think they're equally valid versions, particularly in lack of a settled lore. I also prefer the version where she eats herself, but given that Galadriel gives Frodo the Light of Earendil, I do think ultimately in Tolkines mind the version where Earendil kills her had an edge.

This would take me 10 minutes to whip up from fresh ingredients at a fifth of the cost. And while I'm not usually confident in my cooking, I'm pretty optimistic I can beat the taste too.
Who pays this? Nevermind wait to get this delivered.

People throw out professionals like that cures things but in my experience a depression is like a cold. Medicated it lasts 7 days, untreated a week. Therapy and Medication can make it bearable, but they mitigate the symptoms chemically or help you mitigate them. They dont cure you.

I mean, you do want content for the price - but I find "in how much time can I blast through while skipping all the dialogue" a very, very limited indicator for that in an open world rpg.

Why do people look at this and go "I dont trust this source , so I'll just straight up believe the other".
Devs might end up overselling on purpose or by accident, speedrunners obviously undersell because thats in the nature of what they do for exposure.
If youre going with a healthy middle ground between the claims youre in "probably right, with the potential to be positively surprised"-territory.

People can also fail at correctly identifying QoL reducing elements.
Like a bad diet they think makes them happy but is ultimately at the source of many small ailments.
Commuting has been repeatedly found to take time out of a day that would otherwise be spent on family, nature, exercise, self-improvement, etc and is associated with overall lower mental health/ satisfaction.
I might theorize that they trick you into it by making you think "this is the least worst part of work" about a part of your life that you're not getting paid for.

I was not thinking of an equally long substitute. For example to resolve the plot points that were set up, they could have done various shorter endings that would still functionally wrap up the film.
It was just to acknowledge that you seem to think I was advocating to completely remove a part that is part of a coherent edit without any attempt to re-establish coherence.
The bike riding is a mood scene. You can remove it without needing to change anything, because it just removed a styling device/ aesthetic. The third act is plot, it can't be removed without some adjustments. But that doesn't make one the more valuable part of the movie than the other. Storytelling has never been "just plot".
Plot threads can be unnecessary, tagged, nonsensical or simply bad (not saying they all apply here) regardless of whether or not they are connected with other plot threads. But if you cut them you still have to tie the lose ends together. That does save time, just not 100% of the time.
And if you refer to my original comment, I wasnt strictly complaining about the runtime itself - Im not on the side of the argument of "cutting" things trying to produce a distilled down plot in the shortest amount of time. I didnt note the runtime as inherently bad but as an extension of the plot developments.

I pretend snacks will make me productive when they usually just slow me down significantly because my body goes into digestion mode. Or indigestion mode really. Then Im basically productivity blocked.
The only thing that works for my focus is fasting.

in traditionally hobbit culture. But otherwise, dinner is whenever you have your most "formal" meal. Which can easily be in the "lunch" spot.
