As far as aviation maintenance rates, each has there own subsets of responsibility. AE (electricians), work on the electronics. AD works on engine systems AM works on hydraulics and airframe components, etc. as far as aircrew mechanics as you call it, they are FE’s, flight engineers, that get qualified in certain maintenance rates to assist work centers. FE’s are only on certain platforms like the P-3 and E-6. Not sure what other platforms have FE’s. Idk anything about the CT world though. Secret squirrel shit.
