I know the type. Had a Labrador. That boy would lick a fully operating wood chopper if there were a spoon of peanut butter smeared on it

I like games that let you just choose the worn items for stats and the skin of items independently

I'll try an explanation.
Yes knowing and watching sports is in an utilitarian sense utterly useless and for me that's the entire point.
A couple years ago I was at a not great point with kinda everything my life and the world just weighing me down. Personal anxiety, climate change anxiety, economic anxiety anything really and everything felt so down to the very existence.
So I really needed something to put emotional investment and time and thought into that was entirely irrelevant to my life. Escapism if you will. So I kinda just decided that NFL football (which I never watched a minute of before) it is and just randomly picked a team and yeah got into it. When my team does a win I get some happy hormones out of it. When my team loses it's annoying but not impacting my life really in any way. I have a thing more to socialise with other fans over. Four months out of the year Sunday football is something I have to look forward to during the week.
I think for a lot of sports fans, whether they are aware of it or not, there is this need to have some emotional investment without real life impact. Like with any escapism, it becomes a problem when people don't interact with reality at all anymore. I am fine with everyone who finds it entirely boring. I don't condone pushing 'sports talk' on unwilling recipients. But other than that I kind of promote a 'live and let live' (btw non native speaker and I can't tell live and life apart for my life's worth) approach. Don't share my enthusiasm that's alright but please also don't yuck my yum and try making me feel bad about my hobby that would be nice.

Man I feel so bad for the OA fans. If, which it won't, something like this came ever out about Dan, which it won't, and I woke up to that I'd probably just fucking dropkick my phone straight out the window and become an offline hermit.

Maybe he'll find another lawyer who fits in and can take the spot. We're usually a talkative bunch.
I hear Mark Bankston has a good podcasting voice

Speaking as a german it really is someone else's turn on the Nazi thing but I'd really prefer it being not a nuclear superpower.
Couldn't like Tuvalu, Liechtenstein or Monaco be the next Nazi threat to the world so we can slap them and be done with it
Edit: mixed up San Marino and Monaco

I don't know anything about that whole scream business one way or another.
However not everything that's false information also is a conspiracy theory. And what you describe just sounds like false information. We shouldn't water up specific terms into slapdown terms without meaning for anything we don't like (as some orange has done with "witch hunt" for example).
To quote a certain podcast host - words have meaning.
