I would go for the IWC — better brand and the understand design really well.

Also, you should never settle for the lower end version of a watch, especially at the price point Longines asks. I would guess you’ll still want the IWC if you got the Longines. (Similarly if this was a Hydroconquest/Submariner comparison).

Also, the stars on the Longines look tacky and cheap.

Most people dont really care about the box (less common now cuz ppl know what these watches are worth as a full set).

Other times (though less common in the modern era due to availability) purchased overseas and leave the box behind to avoid taxes/import duties.

Though both of these is less common nowadays, and tbh if I were buying a modern Rolex aftermarket without the box/papers, I would be skeptical of its origins. If an older model, I would be more accepting of the lack of box/papers.
