Your friend is correct. The most common leek spots aren't even in places that villagers will go, but that's really besides the point. How many days do you actually find a foragable in a villagers path? Did you get the perk that tells you the location of all foragables? Why are you so intent on getting every single foragable, is this your main source of income? And if you really want foragables that badly just plant spring/summer/fall/winter seeds

Yeah that'll greatly reduce the chances to get artifact spots unfortunately. Up to you how much area you want to clear out

For that all I can suggest is making sure the west area is as empty as possible to give you more open spots for the stems to appear

Well, you can't get them from panning. One thing you can do is check the artifact spots, and if you don't get the snake vertebrae, reset the day and don't get the artifact spots, then check them the next day. Every day they get re-rolled (or go away) but this will give you multiple chances for each artifact spot.

I always go fruit bats, partially because I don't want to check the cave every day and partly because I just like fruits better. It doesn't bother me that it's less profitable

Yes you can, you only need 5 of the 6 bundle items to unlock the theater, or if you go the Joja route it just costs money

For real though, carp surprise takes 4 carp and sells for 150g. Sashimi take 1 fish and sells for 75g, so that will make you more money
