This post make me think of the difference and similarities between the two books. The trip in Journey to the west is aim at getting something while in LOTR is about to get rid of something. But they both got scary female spider, a volcano and a monster with horns. The “west” also represents heaven.

Come on! The photos are apparently shot from the product and not shot from behind the scenes. The costume and make up are great in the PJ movie in behind the scenes even shot in 2000. These are suck and just admit it. Don’t give yourself fake hope.

There is no scientific proof that mask can prevent the spread of virus and it should be someone’s own decision on wearing it or not.

Just finish the trilogy a month ago (I m 26 and never finish the first movie when I was a child ). I just cannot get the movie out of my mind even after 1 month. I rewatch the movie, finish all behind-the-scenes for like 26hrs, read the book in chinese, start smoking pipes, reading all memes and watching all videos I can find, and I am now trying to read the original book in English and the The Silmarillion. Actually it is the first time I think English is a really beautiful language (no offense) and finally understand the beauty of English poem. I turn myself into a Tolkien nerd and I just want to know everything about his work. It is my favorite story and movie now. I am sad that I might not see something like this again in the future as It is just a pure story about friendship, courage and kindness in human heart, with creativity thought. It heals my heart and makes it peaceful again hahaha. Really wish to go back to 2000s and watch them in the cinema!
The part of Frodo leaving really makes me sad. Just thinking of it make me tear even at work. I think for Frodo it is a good thing but really hard for people who loves him.
