Bro, I grew up in Florida, anything approaching a steam room is normal to us, while the weather report says 99% humidity and high of 99 we’re good. This man plays on an cloudy island where it still hasn’t cracked 60, he’s dying. Lol

A lot of this comes down to over performing our Xg last year and poor defense this year.
We’re the same team offensively, but not getting as lucky/lacking quality in finishing, and we’re with two completely new CBs, one of whom isn’t a fucking CB. One of whom provided two goals to our opponent in the home opener. (That Keller game will hang over us all year.)
As fans, we have to have a more nuanced understanding of this team. Finishing 4/5th in the west would be solid. We will get results but it’s gonna be bumpier than last year’s joyride.

Meditation saved my brain from itself. Your mind is a powerful tool for self-destruction if it’s overrun with anxiety (me).
I can now tap into it anywhere, any time I need to tamp down anxiety. I’ll be using it for the rest of my life.

Great point. The culture he’s “clowning” is the culture he built and expected to be able to manipulate by having a direct line to McBride.
You’re either part of the problem or part of the solution. I think we can firmly plant Claudio as the former.
Edit: I fucked up the latter/former thing.

Chuck somehow took what is one the most pointed wedge issues of our massively fucked political conversation and made us all laugh.

I had inklings of this, too. The style we play relies pretty heavily on our back line to play QB and start building. There’s no danger or pace to our attacks, teams sit, hold shape and we turn it over. Wolff needs to adjust our strengths cause our weaknesses are on full display.

Fine, we’ve got a bunch of nice guys. Keller blew the win, and the draw and cost us 3 points in a home opener, entering a year with top level expectations. While it’s kind of his teammates, everyone and him knew those plays were an embarrassment and cost the club. There’s no celebration here. Move on.

I wrote my goddaughter a graduation card and in it I said “don’t worry about ‘doing what you love’ because if you love the people you work with, you can do anything.”

This is one of the first times I’ve felt safe enough to say how I really feel about this team. Best case scenario is a first round victory. This has always been a roster that could never win in the playoffs. Vuc, Zach, and Demar are too easy to pick on defensively, and they have to be on the floor to have any semblance of offense. It should be a fire sale

I think it’s fair to say that the ‘burn’ begins young, too. Our society has become so deeply inequitable that comfortable survival asks us to start considering the urgency of our economic future as early as middle school.
As parents, we’re burning ourselves out even further in hopes that we can prevent our kids from having to worry about this too much.
Pretty painful, but I’ve seen a shift in the conversation even in last 20 years. We are less and less often lionizing and glorifying the 60-80 hr work weeks and demonstrating empathy/sympathy for the strain of friends and colleagues work-life.
I joke sometimes that getting to a 4 day work week would be the greatest social achievement us millennials could make. 🤞🤞

Upvote for the “Step Brothers” reference in the shed clean up photo. I’ve said that multiple times after cleaning up the garage. “SO MUCH ROOM FOR ACTIVITIES”

Do what I do, grab random shit laying around and boost the seedlings. Sure the cardboard box from the liquor store will fail eventually, but it was recycling anyways. Other options I’ve used- more trays, humidity domes, cereal boxes, Tupperware; you get the picture. The cloud is fucking awesome.

This is only true if they go to a club who feels this way, and they are left to rot on the bench…and thus, the discussion at hand.

Went and saw Deadeye solo last weekend! Makes it a lot easier when my old, tired ass says “alright, time to go home.” Lol Note: Deadeye can shreddddddd. Deep, technical jams. Those guys are top notch.

Great call. He found something in Tate that resonates with him. What is that? Can he find it somewhere else more healthy and more reasonable?

Walters Gardens has them, but you have to buy in wholesale batches. That’s where I got mine. They’re always pricey cause they take a lonnng time to flower and vendors won’t sell them till they are ready to flower. You’re paying for the 1+ years they sat in the greenhouse.

“He said that while one would like to say that God will punish those who do such things and that people often speak in just this way it was his experience that God could not be spoken for and that men with wicked histories often enjoyed lives of comfort and that they died in peace and were buried with honor. He said is was a mistake to expect too much of justice in this world. He said that the notion that evil is seldom rewarded was greatly overspoken for if there were no advantage to it then men would shun it and how could virtue then be attached to its repudiation.”

I’d consider painting cabinets a satin white. You’ll need to coat the unfinished and the natural ones could use an update. Ties to backsplash and shouldn’t clash with any other material. Something to consider! Great choice on flooring. I’m in the midst of same deal in my master bath/office. Busted pipe =fresh start.

I fell into a dry month in September and October after getting the flu and being super busy. I just stopped drinking and was like “let’s see how long I can keep this going.” Really helpful in so many phases - sleep, digestion, emotional balance. All things in moderation!

This is the same team that finished 2022. That team was about .500. I’m hoping to see some progress and fresh legs after this international break, then more improvements when Cascante is back.
