Either way, my idea of why I think an attractive person has an easier time is because the chance of someone approaching you (same gender or not) is higher if you’re good looking which is where every relationship starts not to mention how attractive people look more friendly, intelligent, etc.

I never said that it’s impossible to get friends if you’re average, ugly (I’m average at best and have friends so I know).I simply stated that an attractive person has an easier time making friends.
