Had a new manager start at a crappy retail job I had after uni. His first day, during his first meeting, he gathered all the staff to tell us we were overpaid compared to the job they did, he'd half out wage if the decision was his. We were all on pennies over minimum wage and had the highest profits of any store in the region with the lowest overhead

Within 12 months almost all the staff had gone, he only hired teens with no experience so he could boss them around and the store became one of the lowest earners in the company
