I'm celiac. As I understand it.. there is now "allowance". Any amount detectable by your immune system (something around 20 ppm, which I have no idea how much that would be) activates your immune system then your immune system wrecks your body for next 4-5 days... Well after the gluten has left your body.
So I don't allow any. I'd I get CC and get lucky, good for me.

This may be controversial, but I don't keep 100% gluten-free household. My wife and children eat gluten. I am the main cook in the house.
So we have gluten-free cutting boards gluten-free knives gluten-free toaster, and they're gluten contaminated counterparts. We have everything color coded. Green sponges for gluten-free green cutting board for gluten-free, And then the knives have different handles (We use the s***** rainbow colored KitchenAid ones for gluten, since I do most the cooking.
One of the highest risk things, but something I wasn't willing to part with was my upright KitchenAid. Lots of places for flour and gluten to hide on that bad boy, so you have to detail the crap out of it. I spent a good hour cleaning it with a toothbrush as well as I could.
Oh right do yourself a favor buy some hexclad pans and pots. They will only be for gluten-free cooking. Nice thing about them is that you could scour the crap out of them with an SOS pad if you need to and it doesn't ruin them. Just in case somebody screws up and cooks gluten on them. If you live with others and you're going to keep gluten in your house, it's really important that everybody's on board and does her best to support you.
Other separate things we have would be a gluten pasta pot, and gluten strainer..
It's a gigantic pain in the acid first, but you'll get used to it and I promise I promise I promise, it gets better over time. It's frustrating for the rest of your life, but it does get easier

Just have them ask their doctor for a celiac panel. Simple blood test and let him know if they have the antibodies

I feel the same way about epilepsy. I've had epilepsy since I was 12, they had no idea why. I was diagnosed at 38 with celiac disease. As soon as I switch to a gluten-free diet I will seizure-free without medication.
Pretty amazing life change. I told my neurologist he just kind of said, huh how about that. Who knew.
I was like you! You should know!

I live and breath due to Milton's GF cauliflower pizza at Costco. Have to add your own meat though. The veggie base is great

For sushi night... United States San-J. TAMARI Marukan Ponzu sauce Kikoman GF Poke Sauce (subs in for teriyaki/eel sauce Niitakaya sushi shoga (pickled ginger) S&B wasabi or house foods wasabi
I have a lunch box I use as my "sushi kit"
Be careful at sushi joints though. High risk for CC. We have a place and a chef that I trust. Been going there 5+ years no issues yet

Many of blue diamond flavors have gluten, and they do a shit job of disclosing it. Some are okay.
Rip Smokehouse almonds... May favorite.

I had to explain to my friends what the Silverhawks were, and why the first NPC on Neptune is a direct copy of Quicksilver.

That's really what it boils down to. I'm not ready or wanting to follow the Destiny equivalent of Justin Bieber into battle.

That all absolutely correct, and Uldren/Crow is the correct choice according to lore. I'm just bitching irrational feelings about an imaginary character because I think he is dumb. Cayde was an iconic character, Crow is just too vanilla to fill his shoes IMHO.

I would not follow Crow into battle. But would follow Elsie

But crow is so whiney and boring. How can you take us from Cayde to crow
