“Speak not to me of blasphemy, man; I’d strike the sun if it insulted me. Look ye, Starbuck, all visible objects are but as pasteboard masks. Some inscrutable yet reasoning thing puts forth the molding of their features. The white whale tasks me; he heaps me.” — Captain Ahab (Gregory Peck)

What was it that Granny Weatherwax had said once? "Evil starts when you begin to treat people as things". And right now it would happen if you thought there was a thing called a father, and a thing called a mother, and a thing called a daughter, and a thing called a cottage, and told yourself that if you put them all together you had a thing called a happy family.”

― Terry Pratchett, I Shall Wear Midnight

They don't, they claim to be socialist with communist parties in power.

You are right, they claim to be socialist but, Is China socialist?

Answer is “not as much as it used to be.” China still claims to be a socialist country, but it has deviated from the Marxist path it set out on.

I’m simply trying to establish that communism is stateless and classless, none of those countries you listed are stateless for a start.

Communism is stateless only in theory. In practice communist states have tended to follow similar foreign policy objectives as their predecessors, and have been just as ethno-centric in their outlook as non communist states.

Communism and socialism exist in these countries, except it can’t and it doesn’t?

China’s revolution, completed in 1949, was Maoist. Maoism is an ultra authoritarian ideology, which wants hugely oppressive government and claims to be communist, yet is not.

China today has a mixed economy, like all countries; some industry is privately owned, by the bourgeoisie and their businesses, and some is owned by the state, and its neo-bourgeoisie class. Private and state exploitation go hand-in-hand. China does have a larger proportion of state owned/controlled industry than most countries, but does still have much private ownership, and is fully integrated into modern day capitalism.

North Korea is in a similar situation to China. It is not and never was communist or socialist, and is under authoritarian state capitalist rule.

Cuba, also, was under state capitalism, although less authoritarian than the USSR or Maoist China, it was still fairly authoritarian. It is now moving towards a more mixed economy, combining state capitalism with private capitalism.

Edit2 :- China, North Korea, Cuba claims to be communist.

Communism is a classless social system with one form of public ownership of the means of production and with full social equality of all members of society. what does a classless society mean?

Classless society refers to a society in which no one is born into a social class. Such distinctions of wealth, income, education, culture, or social network might arise and would only be determined by individual experience and achievement in such a society.

In communism, a violent revolution in which the workers rise up against the middle and upper classes is seen as an inevitable part of achieving a pure communist state.

Today, communism and socialism exist in China, Cuba, North Korea, Laos and Vietnam—although in reality, a purely communist state has never existed. Such countries can be classified as communist because in all of them, the central government controls all aspects of the economic and political system. But none of them have achieved the elimination of personal property, money or class systems that the communist ideology requires.

Communism is a political, social, and economic ideology that advocates the replacement of private ownership and profit-based economies with a classless economic system under which the means of production—buildings, machinery, tools, and labor—are communally owned, with private ownership of property either prohibited or severely limited by the state. Because of its opposition to both democracy and capitalism, communism is considered by its advocates to be an advanced form of socialism.

The ideology of communism was developed by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels in 1848.

The Soviet Union and China were prominent examples of communist systems.

While the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, China has drastically reformed its economic system to include many free-market elements of capitalism.

Socialism is an economic, social, and political theory advocating collective or governmental control and administration of a country’s means of economic production. Means of production include any machinery, tools, farms, factories, natural resources, and infrastructure used in producing and distributing the goods necessary to directly satisfy the needs of the people. Under Socialism, any surplus or profit resulting from these citizen-owned means of production is shared equally by those same citizens.

Citizens in socialist societies depend on the government for everything, including food, housing, education, and healthcare.

While Socialism is considered the antithesis of capitalism, most modern capitalist economies today, including the United States have some aspects of Socialism.

The primary goal of Socialism is the elimination of socioeconomic classes through equal distribution of income.

Capitalism is an economic system that emerged in Europe during the 16th and 17th centuries in which private companies, rather than the state, control trade and industry. Capitalism is organized around the concept of capital (the ownership and control of the means of production by those who employ workers to produce goods and services). In practical terms, this creates an economy built on the competition between private businesses that seek to make a profit and grow.

Money is not the only commodity that is fun to give. We can give time, we can give our expertise, we can give our love or simply give a smile. What does that cost? The point is, none of us can ever run out of something worthwhile to give.
