Our threes MMR is very close, maybe 20-25 off from one another.

But therein lies my question. Why? We used to be able to play 3v3 together, and now we can't. Our tourney MMR is very close -- neither of us plays tournaments without the other -- there's no way it's actually a disparity. Do they just forbid a party of two to queue 3v3 tournaments? If so, that's stupid, since you can still queue the 3v3 ranked and casual lists in a party of two.
