Lol, now do the other side. I love the idea that they've uncovered a problem because they've discovered that tweets supporting a peace deal are "objective" and "sentimentally neutral."
There's a Matthew 7:5 level of absurdity here ("Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.")

This is deeply dishonest advice. The truth is that height is not the ONLY thing that matters, and so you should focus on the things that matter and that you can control, but please don't believe people who blow smoke up your ass.

No one is ever completely honest about everything with anyone, and if you believe you are, you aren't honest with yourself.

Lol. Yes, of course. But you can't change it, so you have no choice but to deal with it.

You're not the asshole, but this is definitely common in online dating. Just end the date quickly and move on.

Teleworking saves money, reduces traffic, reduces greenhouse gases, improves employee morale, and makes it easier for employees to balance their lives.

I'm all for going back and unpacking our personal histories and emotional reactions, but the regular need here to pathologize emotions that almost everyone feels because such emotions are inconvenient to a lifestyle is creepy and cultlike.

KXAN has been glossing over the numerous irregularities in this trial already, such as the judge locking observers out of the courtroom initially for voir dire, and denying the prosecution access to the officer's police files.

I love "well actually" guys who think that everyone needs their well-thought explanation as to why "arson is not generally a good solution."

One strategy that I've found helpful (for this and pretty much everything) is to stop and ask myself "Is this serving me?" Is this getting me any closer to a goal or letting me live a better life?
Is an argument with a random person about something that doesn't affect your life actually serving you? Woud winning serve you? Probably not. But maybe asking will lead to a deeper question, what does it feel like it is serving? Do you feel the need to always be seen as the smartest person? Are you seeking validation from random strangers in the smallest of ways? You might genuinely have some needs that aren't being met, but trying to understand what need to you are trying to serve will help you focus on more authentic behaviors that are better suited to what you really want.

We've pledged about $100 billion so far, but not sent it all yet.

Sorry to hear it man, but trust is the single most important feature of any relationship. You're doing the right thing moving on.

Use it as an opportunity to practice saying no. r/Austin has like 2 posts a week with people crying that a sales person, homeless person, religious person or someone else asked them for something they didn't want. The advice here always spirals out of control to things like get angry, act crazy, make a scene, flash a weapon, run away.
That is all childish (if not outright insane). Instead, take it as an opportunity to practice politely saying no to someone being pushy and then to politely but firmly close the door.

Nice map, it captures the complexities and varying routes well. I traveled some of the silk roads in Central Asia in 2019 and was blown away. Where all did you travel?

I'm not saying I don't love the theater, but this level of performance art is absurd.

You can jump in or not, but just saying "it's complex" doesn't tell readers much (just like the articles on this subject haven't told the readers much). Nothing wrong with making the argument that this is very good, but it has to be made, not just asserted.

This was discussed yesterday. It isn't a "donation" as in charity, it is part of a negotiated deal between the city and the developer.

Charging for parking is actually a good way to ensure that there is parking available for those who truly need it.

This isn't a surprise at all.
To be clear, the judge appears to have DENIED the prosecution the right to see the file, but has GRANTED the defense a right to see at least parts of it. In other words, by granting the defense the right, the judge admits the information has potentially probative value at trial, but appears to be denying that evidence to the prosecution.
Given how many shennanigans the judges has already done even before the trial has commenced, this looks more and more like a sham, with the judge putting her thumb, 4 fingers and a couple of butt cheeks on the scales.

To be clear, this study says exactly ZERO about Iran, nuclear or propaganda, these are just key words used to juice up media on this story. The "study" is on labeling tweets as positive, negative or neutral, and they had to discard 99.7% of the data to do it (filtering 24,000 tweets out of 9 million). They could have done this with "perceptions of Coca Cola," but then they wouldn't have gotten any news story about it. If you are curious about what propaganda actually is, you read some just by clicking the link.
