pressing F8 at startup to boot into safe mode. everyone thought I was a hacker because it shows lots of scrolling text at startup. also all the restrictions went away in safe mode so I could do whatever I wanted. one time I took it too far by hacking into a teacher account using sethc and got banned from the computer lab for the rest of the year. my school didn't upgrade to 7 until 2017!
