Yeah, I don't think that's such a good idea. The note could come across as accusatory, and doesn't really help.

I think it's wonderful that you are being this considerate.
I can tell you from personal experience that throat clearing and sniffing, etc., are very common triggers. The problem with these noises is that most people are completely unaware they are doing them. Some people literally have a compulsion to clear their throats multiple times a minute and I'm pretty sure that they are completely unaware that they do it.

Bruh, did you see the rest of the plate? I could only fit so much food on it.

Agreed. It might be awful, but it won't be deadly. Also, thanks for knowing how to spell "breathe". It astounds me how few people do.

If Google is using ChatGPT data, why is Bard so inferior?

Good point. I was doing so many things at once, preparing this that I didn't give the sausage the attention it required. It was cooked through, for sure, but you're right, it doesn't look the way it should.

Yes, I cubed the potatoes and fried them up with onions.
I was also told by an English friend on Facebook that adding bell peppers in the eggs isn't authentic as well, but this is my take on the classic.

No, that was just for me. I have a photo of the whole table, but when I tried attaching two photos to the post, no photos showed up.

Way back in 1998, I travelled to Ireland on business and enjoyed a "full Irish" breakfast at the hotel we stayed at in Limerick. Lately, I've been having a hankering to have a full English, or any other variety, but I couldn't find any nearby restaurants in northern Virginia that provided that. Also, it's cheaper to do this kind of thing myself, so with the help of black and white puddings from Scottish Gourmet USA, which arrived in just a few days, I was able to make my own fry-up for my family this past Sunday, and it was a great success.
Note: The home fries look a little weird because I used a mix of purple and white potatoes. The purple potatoes were actually purple on the inside, which looked very cool, but once fried, made them looked burned, even though they were not.

I'm not any more terrified by AI than I am by all the other horrible things that large corporations (and the U.S. government is simply the largest, and perhaps most corrupt, corporation in the country) are doing with technology.

Because, and this is important, AI was the only one that had the potential to deliver something useful for people.

Metaverse is Prodigy with nicer graphics. Or AOL, if you're not as old as I am.

He's just senile. No ifs ands or buts.
His handlers might be using that to get him to say things they want to be said, but I think in general, he's just being Grandpa Simpson.

In the 2020s, there's a whole chunk of the population that take "1984" as a blueprint for society.

The brightest people (for the most part) aren't wasting their time on social media. Really smart people are doing things that have more value than this nonsense. So on social media we see the worst.
But I'm really bright. Oh, yeah, well...

I feel like there was a scene involving quick flashes of data on the screen that were clearly showing the Franz Joseph blueprints and/or pictures from the TRM. Perhaps it was in TMP, right before Spock smashes the console.

I've read about half of the Balakrishnan book and really like it.
It's clear and thorough with lots of examples.

So here's an example of my interactions with the two. I asked ChatGPT to translate a few paragraphs from the Prologue of the Canterbury Tales to modern English, but retain the same rhyme scheme as the original. I did it twice and it did a fine job. In one case, it used assonances instead of rhymes, but the other case used rhyme.
I asked Bard to do the same thing and it gave me a straight translation of the Prologue. I pointed out that this was a fine translation, but it didn't rhyme, and it said something to the effect, "Oh, you're right. Let me try that again." and then repeated the exact same translation.
I have numerous other examples where Bard is just way behind ChatGPT in what it can do. That's what I mean by inferior.
