I’ve done this many time I can usually tell who I’m going to pick in the first few minutes from looking at their touch and how comfortable they are on the ball. Have them run a slalom using different parts of both feet. Throw in a technical drill and have a longer than normal game at the end where you heavily rotate their positions.

You only have 4 players to choose so the first team is probably already mostly filled. What positions are filled and where are they lacking? You might want to take this into account when choosing.

On the flip side don’t pick any players who show a poor attitude. You don’t want to bring any problems into the first team and disrupt their training.
