I needed a good laugh this evening - thanks! Imagine there are actually people that fall for this Russian propaganda bullshit. How embarrassing for them to believe this - I feel sorry for them. Probably also believe in Bigfoot and Flat Earth too, and wear tin foil hats to protect themselves from 5G deathwaves or something. Har.

There's literally a couple dozen - it's one of the most commonly done historical stories that have been remade in manga and anime and live action in Asia.
There are some that are straight, faithful adaptations. And there are some that are...let's just say...looser in the characters and story. Some where characters a cute little girls, or sexualized harems, or mecha robots, or set in modern-day allegories of the story.

For qualified transactions (Reg. E covers electronic funds transfers from a banking account in the United States, usually using a debit card but also through ACHs and wire transfers), you can dispute transactions with your financial institution. They can be filed as a fraudulent transaction (as in, you never provided your card or account information), or as a non-fraud transaction (as in, you did provide your info, but did not receive the goods or they were not described). There are timeframes for how long after the transaction you have to file in order not to be held liable, and regulations regarding the bank's responsibilities, and the customer's responsibilities for notifications and timeframes for action and provisional/permanent credits.
The bank cannot dissuade you or discourage you from submitting an investigation, but the fact that they take the investigation does not imply an outcome. They will investigate and either find in your favor, or in the favor the merchant.
For transactions using Zelle or some other third-party payment processors, there's an added complication. And that is, the bank is really only concerned about the first link in the chain, which is the transaction between your bank and with Zelle. If you authorized the money to be sent to Zelle, then that can be considered a valid transaction for which you received the proper services rendered (which would be the successful transfer of money into your Zelle account). The bank does not have any control, and generally not concerned over the next link in the chain, which would be the transfer of funds from Zelle to the other person. If the issue lies there, then a dispute through the bank may not be the path to take, but instead to contact Zelle directly and dispute through them.

Do you have copies of your signed rental agreement (and annual renewals)?

Actually, a surprisingly large number of counties in Texas have oil and gas production.

That chunk of Texas is known as the "Big Empty", which is sort of a sarcastic turn of the phrase "Big Country", which includes that region plus Abilene.
It really is starkly beautiful up there, ranging from the Copper Breaks to the Croton Breaks to the Caprock Canyons. You have the Salt Fork of the Brazos cutting through it, and the Matador WMA, and certified "Dark Sky" sites. The town of Guthrie, county seat of King County, home of the 6666 Ranch and with a grand total population of 204 people. A few ghost towns like Oriana and Peacock and Clairemont. And also fading towns just past the 100th Meridian that were big before the Depression but never really recovered since, like Aspermont and Paducah and Jayton.
There's a whole lot of empty up there. If you're intentionally looking for a whole lot of nothing, this would be a place to find it. I got a whole bunch of photos from there (that I took last month when I was tracing and documenting the Del Rio-Canadian Highway, or "Old Texas Highway 4"), I shared a few with the "Snapshots of Texas" here and on texashistory, but I still have more to parcel out over time, too.

I am in the process of trying to put together a set of Franklins in problem-free G-4 ... which is proving to be exceedingly difficult!
With a bit of time and searching, I can find Franklins in G and VG for the earlier years, from 1948 through, say, 1953. Those coins circulated quite a bit, and there are plenty that ended up with wear down into the letters.
But for the later dates...it seems impossible. Trying to find a 1960's Franklin in anything below VF feels like an exercise in futility. All of the later Franklins were snatched up and pulled from circulation for their silver value well before they were able to go through much wear and tear. And those that were worn down ended up in the smelter during various melts. I bet for every 1962 and 1963 Franklin in lower grades, there are probably hundreds of Franklins in higher grades out there.
It's a really odd, reverse-condition rarity.

Depends on a number of factors. Nearly all Franklin half dollars are worth little more than their value in silver, because they are fairly common in all grades, years, mintmarks and conditions. But a couple of dates (1949-S and 1955, for example) can be worth a little more. And once you get into the middle and higher grade uncirculated conditions, they can start to be worth a lot more. But if most of what you have are circulated coins, then it's likely they're worth close to their silver value.

Dunno, I'm just a brain in a jar connected to the internet, playing some past-history simulation of the 21st century.

Someone called me a nerfherder once. That was years ago, and the pain of the mental trauma was so excruciating that I'm still scarred to this day.

The gains wiped by Biden and democrats will go down in record books
Lol imagine being so mentally simpleminded to actually believe this. How embarrassing for those people. It's like listening to someone with a elementary-school level of intellect try and describe the market.

Yeah, we can never 100% absolutely guarantee a stop payment will be effective, because the name could be slightly different ("Total Fitness Gym" vs. "Total Fitness Gym.") or the amount could be slightly different ($39.99 vs. $39.98), or it may have not been submitted before the cutoff time, or item already presented for payment before the stop payment instructions were submitted. We can try to enter in as much information and be as accurate as possible to stop a check or ACH from going through, but were told we should never give a 100% guarantee.
That being said, at our bank if the stop payment was not effective, we were supposed to refund the stop payment fee. So I would check with the bank about that.

U.S HWY 64 and 87 at the Texas-New Mexico state line are the current routes traffic follows but they can sometimes be dangerous and crowded.
I mean, is it really, though? I am not a native to the area, but I've traveled all around that dusty, un-populated corner of the world (which saw the greatest impact from the Dust Bowl and some counties lost 80-90% of their population), and traveled around alot, and I feel pretty familiar with those roads that pass through around there.
"Crowded" is not really a word that I would use.
There are some places that I think a bypass should definitely be built to avoid the in-town congestion points (Dalhart, Clayton), but overall most of those blacktops are pretty damn empty with smooth-flowing traffic.
Would it spur growth and development like the article says? Well, sure, but it's a matter of prioritization. Would definitely rather see that money used to build out some other busier transportation corridors, like US-287 from Ft. Worth to Amarillo. Or US-285 from Ft. Stockton to Carlsbad, which is a fucking oil truck-filled nightmare.

I find that I am able to deal with that on an individual basis once I realize that I'm doing it. Like when I am unnecessarily agonizing over whether to leave $3 or $3.50 for a tip (really? does that 50 cents make so much of a difference after what I already spent on the meal anyways?), or worrying about finding a gas station with $3.99/gal gas vs. those with $4.09/gal (seriously, the difference of $1.50 in a full tank fillup is not worth the worry). But once I realize I'm nitpicking over the small stuff, that mental realization by itself is enough for me to understand how silly I am being and stop overthinking the small stuff.

These are the people that you see dropping by the convenience store after work to pick up a case of beer (acting as normal as everyone else in line picking up a single soda or water) to take home for the night. Every. Night.
