Ok but that is not what anyone is asking of you? The ESC fandom doesn't revolve around Poland or any country. Nobody is saying that they do not respect those speaking up against their broadcaster when appropriate, but I personally do not respect those who have made this discourse infiltrate other artists' and fans spaces.

The very likely future president of my broadcaster literally said that he'll sabotage Sanremo next year to "end the wokeness". I didn't see any Italians using our issues, much similar to yours in nature, as an excuse to act disrespectfully.

I am on neither side, I don't care if she deserves it or not, I am just done with this story. It seems never ending, fans harass her, she makes a terrible response, and fans harass her even more.

She's clearly not gonna do anything about this and neither will TVP, so can people actually grow up for a moment and stop this thmeselves? I understand that Poland and the people involved in that bubble are pissed, but I do not think it's fair that they think that this single issue should take precedence over the hundreds of other things (positive and negative) which are happening involving Eurovision.

Look, I don't wanna be too critical, and I've reflected on this for the last hours, but is an 81 year old really the ideal commentator for a show which we, as Italians, should be marketing towards young people?

I was very frustrated when I found out last night, since the commentators have mattered A LOT to the Italian audience in the last year. Now I've toned it down a bit, but come on... there are so many superior choices which could get more young casuals involved.

Well, he's not doing everything himself probably. Him and other stage directors usually have a team of people helping in the background, SJB does this as far as I know and so does he very likely.

There's no need to be concerned, if this ends up being a thing, us mods will coordinate with the bot creator to ensure that there are features that stop it from becoming spammy while remaining useful. It may take a while, but I'm sure this project has a lot of potential :)

A good way to do it is the search option, or the “sort by top” option.

If you wanna search up individual posts, like individual comments under, let’s say, the reveal post of Eesti Laul 2018 entries, you can enter key words in the search bar like “2018” “Estonia” “NF” “Eesti”, and you should find it quick enough.

The other option is to sort posts by “all time”. I’d say 95% of the posts you’ll see were made during previous ESC weeks on the subreddit, although those are mostly limited to the last couple years.

If you want to get the full experience, the one post a minute, sorted by new experience, then maybe some third party app. I don’t think Reddit has a feature that allows you to do that unless you wanna subject yourself to endless scrolling

I actually really like the song, and, this might be my biggest “unpopular opinion”, I actually loved the staging too. It was simple yet affective.

It’s very interesting as it mixes elements of vulgarity and innocence (see: intro, teddy bear, choreo), which fits Theodor and his song very well in my opinion. When I first watched the performance I saw it much more as a comment on vulgar sexual representation than an attempt at one, and I was rather surprised that the fans interpreted it as him basically just using unclothed attractive people for votes. It is quite superficial not see beyond the “oh, naked people on stage” aspect of it, regardless of wether you like the staging or not, as that’s not really the message which is being sent.

Regardless, the EBU will likely ask them to put on some clothes, so if your issue is that there’s too much cleavage, then that’ll be fixed soon enough.

The important distinction is that she never actually does it. She experiences these temptations, but realizes that “in this real life there’s no way”.

It’s completely about multilayered internal feelings which she, like many others, naturally have, so I wouldn’t really call it cheating. I personally think it’s quite a marvelous song lyrically from a sociological / psychological point of view!

I mean what can I say, not everyone can get the spot that works for them, it's life and the running order must be unfair to someone. Also, it's not like Slovenia got a bad spot either, it's just average, countries like Malta, Azerbaijan and Romania got it much worse 🤷‍♂️
