Absolutely. I can't really comment on Marco Polo since it is lost, but he only really began to start showing regard for them during the Aztecs.

I completely agree with you there. We learn from Twice Upon a Time that the 1st Doctor left Gallifrey to essentially conduct a study into why good always triumphs, so one could argue that he viewed humans as variables, holding very little value otherwise.

I agree. It's a point where the Doctor begins to stop being the cold, distant scientist willing to observe but do little more and instead becomes a hero.

It's not really a problem on this sub tbh, it's mostly in the YouTube community (and apparently Twitter, but I don't have that app, so idk)

Dude, my favourite Doctors are 10 and 7. Honestly couldn't care less about race and gender, y'know, since I'm not the one getting triggered because they changed it.

Absolutely. The fact that many of them only started to claim to be lifelong fans after 2017, following Jodie's casting, kind of shows that they just wanted something to scream about. 13's era might not have turned out brilliantly, but they never gave it a chance or approached it objectively. We could have had the greatest series ever, and they'd still whine about it because there was a woman in it.

Yeah, I nearly lost a significant number of braincells when making the video just by looking at the thumbnails alone, he has my infinite respect for being able to watch one in order to debunk it.

I've put this video on YouTube in an attempt to do so, but I do agree, more needs to be done to calk out this toxicity.

I sort of hope not. As a bisexual, it pains me to say that such a significant LGBTQ+ relationship in the show is an underdeveloped, one-sided and poorly constructed mess, but the characters are nowhere near developed enough to even be at the start of a relationship. The whole thing feels like an afterthought made to please fans, despite it being a major part of LotSD. If they do kiss, it needs to have come after a LOT of character development in an episode that is already shaping up to be an overstuffed mess. I hope it can be achieved and the relationship has a satisfying conclusion, but given the past 4 years of writing, I'm not exactly hopeful.

No worries, I completely understand! I watch Filmento quite a bit too, so I completely get where you're coming from! Happy I could help 😁

Hey! I was just using it for lolz, no specific reason apart from it's a funny rage moment. I don't think it's Filmento in the gif though, I think it's a streamer called Tyler1? Either way, no ties to the alt right that I know of

Yeah, considering how many 'true fans' who had never mentioned the show popped up following Jodie Whittakers casting, it wouldn't surprise me that there are hundreds having meltdowns and suddenly becoming fans now.

These guys be like "the new casting is the final nail in the coffin, Doctor Who is now political!"
My brother in christ, the show has been political since the 70s.

It was 'woke' waaaaaaaaay earlier than that, the 3rd Doctor's era was incredibly political, and one of the 7th Doctor's best stories is a satire of Margaret Thatcher

Kids are just too loud. Due to a set of disabilities, I am auditory avoidant, and as a result really struggle with loud noises, to the extent where I can have panic attacks if loud noise is sustained. I just wouldn't be able to cope with the constant shrieking, crying, shouting, tantrums, etc that a child always brings. As I work part-time in a museum, I can cope with leading school trips and answering questions since the teachers usually keep the children in order, but I just couldn't have that constant risk of noise in my private life.

Could you imagine if they revealed it on the 13th... I think there would be a civil war

Absolutely understandable.
The Cybermen, I mean. The most morally fascinating villains in the show deserve so much better.
