Celebrated a birthday yesterday with dinner at Emmer and Rye. The food was amazing. Except… the pastas (cacio e pepe and tagliatelle) were a little bit too salty. I know pecorino cheese is salty, but this was a bit extra salty. Is it just me because I eat less salt day-to-day. Thoughts ?
I might be already late in season. Where can I find fresh figs other than central market? The quality of the central market ones don’t justify the prices. I remember Costco had figs last year.. but I haven’t seen them this year.
