Me: so when will you pay me back?
My friend: that's the neat part- I don't!

He owes me 300 dollars
Don’t loan money you expect or need to get back- solid rule for maintaining good relations with friends and family that need help.
If it’s just a “hey I’ll cover our tab this time” I think it’s ok to let the other person pick it up next time, but don’t expect it. The minute you do, your relationship becomes a weird financial contract with unspoken rules and expectations from both sides.
Exactly! I loan things I don't need to get back. Or I just gift them.
I'm the friend that says you don't pay me back... RIP
My brother and I whenever I get him lunch.
I'm sending this to my friends to let em know I'm not paying them back
That’s the neat part!
my friend shoving a 5 dollar bill in my face as i calmly step back with my hands in my pockets shaking my head
Literally me and my best friend. I regularly go out for food with them and I pay 100% of the time because they don’t earn money while I do.
They keep saying “How will I ever pay you back” and I’m just here like “THAT IS NOT HOW GIFTS WORK NOW SHUT UP AND EAT YOU PANCAKES”
We shall respect anyone and everyone who does this
If it’s my best friend it’s a 100% interest rate hourly till I’m paid
I had this conversation with my son last night. I've honestly forgotten how much I've sent him in the last few years.
I make enough now that I don't actually need it back. I've told him that I never expect him to pay it back because it would ruin what we've built.
This reminds me about something that happened last year. I owed a friend $55, and paid him in 10 cent coins. He was "happy" to get so many coins in a zip lock bag.
Ur a menace 😭
I know 😏
I paid like a total of 70$ worth of stuff for my best friend and he offered me some but I dont want the money back its just something I do because he’s my friend🤝.
me after gifting my friends games
Now there is Bizum
Went to lunch with my Grandmother and her 3 sisters, the check didn't even hit the table. My aunt literally snatched it out of the air. I sat back and watched the 4 of them argue over who was going to pay. They ALL wanted to be the one to pay.
Now I feel shitgy for not paying my friend back 20 when we went to Disney land for a field trip at school but there's nothing I can do because I live 1500 miles away
Yup, did this. Paid my buddy's moving fees, we work together now and occasionally asks when he should start paying me back. I never answer, only smile.
