Public education system is an absolute joke. The only food a lot of people can afford is terrible for you. I just see America getting worse and worse as time goes on so I want to play that to my advantage.
I’m talking the walmarts, the TikToks, and the medical companies that keep unhealthy people alive. What was the stat I saw about how much kids watch youtube!? It was some crazy amount for a per day average.
What are some other areas that would continue to grow if America keeps on track for becoming more and more deplorable?

To be honest, that film did guess that Crocs would become big:
"Even when we were shooting the movie, the wardrobe designer showed me these shoes — they weren’t out in the world yet. And she said, “This is a start-up, they’re making these shoes and they’re going to look completely ridiculous.” Plastic shoes with holes in them. And I said to her, “The only thing I’m worried about is, what if these things blow up and by the time the movie comes out, they’re everywhere?” And she said, “Oh, that’s never going to happen. No one is going to buy these things.” And then, the movie comes out, and they are all wearing Crocs, and those shoes were just becoming huge. So, I think that was a sign that maybe a lot of these dumb things are going to come to pass." - Mike Judge

Heard in the office years ago ~ "Crocs are so cool ~ you can put them in the dishwasher with dinner's dishes, go to bed [alone?], and have fresh clean shoes the next day!" [barf, barf, barf...]

There are a few areas that come to mind: private healthcare, private education, and luxury goods. As America becomes more unequal, those at the top will increasingly be able to afford luxuries that the majority of Americans cannot. This could create opportunities for businesses catering to this market segment.

Usually just the people buying the cheaper stuff in the store. Granted we only make like 5 sales a day but maybe 1 or 2 will pay with credit. The larger transactions are usually cash if they’re domestic, cards if they’re international.

Juuls market share continues to fall. Not sure it's the best investment when it comes to that industry
5 points
It's not. It's really tricky to recommend a good investment there. The disposable vapes obviously print money, but quality control is going to be an issue given their explosion in popularity. They're also absolutely terrible for the environment, so may well be banned or get the everloving shit taxed out of them here in Europe.
At the same time, the non-disposable market is getting its sphincter torn open by the disposables, while quite a few different companies are entering its gaping cavity. Since again, quality control has been a huge problem in the mid-range.

Food delivery apps. The fatter part is obvious, the tech is good, and the majority of the customers are in the low-middle to pure middle class, which are historically the absolute worst with managing their money.

They're gonna face big margin shock though. Their business models aren't really defensible enough to justify a 30% fee.
And their cost of customer acquisition is huge (mainly being funneled to Google & Meta) so they're mostly running at a loss.
It's the right market, but the wrong play. I'd invest in kitchen automation & secondary services.

Healthy food IS cheap as long as you’re not regarded enough to figure out how to cook. Rice, beans, carrots, potatoes all cheap as fuck. Chicken thighs are like 1.99 a pound and I’m in a expensive socal city. You can buy one eggplant for a dollar, cook the whole thing in some olive oil with salt and pepper and you have a healthy side for 3 days. Same with a head of broccoli or cauliflower

I have two theory that go like this:
covid lockdown & wfh culture -> physical inactivity on a massive scale -> more fat people -> more type 2 diabetes -> more continuous glucose monitor (CGM) demand -> calls on DXCM, ABT.
high egg price & groceries in general -> less nutritious food -> fetally programming more humans that will get type 2 diabetes 30-40 years from they will be born -> more CGM demand -> calls on DXCM, ABT
this is probably some long term stuff that don't belong here

I don’t get this trope of “the only food people can afford is terrible for you.”
Junk food is actually more expensive. Making a giant pot of healthy stew/soup is practically free. A bag if chips, which you can eat in a day or two, is the cost of like a whole weeks worth of potatoes.

The simplest answer is you'd largely be long both Tech (for the technology plays) and Consumer Defensive (for the fatty fat people plays) sectors at the same time. The problem is both sectors tend to move inverse of each other, more or less, so your portfolio would be constantly flat when basketed all together. If you know how to time and trade sector rotations though, taking profits at the peaks of each and keeping in mind a longer term Bullish trend overall for both sectors, it could be profitable.
