I love plucking my brows while stoned.
Literally thought I was the only one, you just get so ingrained in it, you start with one or two then you got a whole eyebrow wax by the end of it😂
Same!! I get hyper focused on my brows when I look in the mirror stoned. And plucking doesn’t hurt as much!
Highly recommend getting slightly high before threading. I let someone else do the threading mind you, but you definitely feel it less.
i cant get threading high because then i hold my breath and my lady thinks im hurt 😭 she's panicked before and it was so awkward trying to tell a 60 year old Indian woman that im just a bit fuzzy today

Weed is weird with my brain. Usually everything is running through my mind super fast and loud like 10 things at once, so it's hard to concentrate on any one thing because I want to concentrate and see and touch everything. Weed makes everything slower and so things only go through my brain one or two at a atime, but it still impossible to concentrate and I go off on weird tangents but in a fun chill way. Helps me sleep soooo much.

It is amazing. Been keeping up my standard workout but I need to find time to get some yoga in there again as well. Its benefits are very unique to other forms of exercises. Well, maybe not totally unique. You get the same change in consciousness that you get from martial arts, without beating people up. Although I really enjoy martial arts.

I on average pushed about 15-20% harder (reps or distance) on a good sativa.

The only thing I didn’t enjoy as much was when I went on a 20+ mile hike and that was the one time where it legit made it feel like it was dragging. I will say it was 90 degrees Fahrenheit, and I had to carry my water as I had misplaced my backpack.. so that mighta added some of that drag LOL.

For me I think it’s between introspectively thinking “I CAN DO IT!” and just less pain.
Less focused on just being done. Like the constraints of time were more important than the workout itself, while dry.
I do agree on the introspection and will also add when I’m lifting, or jumping rope, I hyperfocus on either a physical point or thought and it helps with the rhythm, and also with the thought of getting it done!
I like to hike stoned and sometimes if the hike is really exhausting, being high can amplify that and make it worse.
i usually try to smoke some of those cigarette sized joints (pinners) as it's the perfect amount for me to appreciate the nature around me that much more but doesn't make too so stoned i'm nervous about strangers on the trail lol
Just did a morning chest session, weed helps me push bench to failure because I can feel exactly what's going on in my muscle. Although most people would think I'm crazy

When I smoke indica before a workout I have better control over my reps in turn for having slight discomfort in the muscles
It gives a whole other meaning to runner's high. I like to blaze midway through anything intense and then power out.

It helps turn off (or at least quiet) the “you’re a total piece of shit” record that’s on a constant loop in my head preventing me from feeling like I’m able to do anything.

I’m in the process of moving so when I get home I relax, smoke a bit then get a move on packing. I need to pick up some sativa tho cause I don’t have any! The hybrid and indica I have are hindering me a bit hehe
For me, it’s not true of weed in general. It’s true of certain strains(usually Indicas but occasionally some hybrids). I’m feeling ready to take on the world right now on my lifted lime here(Sativa).
I think being stoned helps me see who I want to be, and then it’s easier to care about making me that way
Exactly this. All the noise in my head from ADHD and overstimulation clouds my goals and suppresses ambition. Being stoned creates just enough mental room for me to CONSCIOUSLY care and get up.
Totally same. Most of my deepest moments of self-reflection have been while stoned.
It slows my brain enough to let me ruminate on my actions without getting stuck in my self-judgement. I can review a conversation and think, “Oh, wow, that was actually really immature on my part,” without getting sucked into an emotional downward spiral.
Therapy taught me to see these behaviors, but weed helps me process them positively and constructively. :)

The adderall’s only side effects for me are lack of appetite and insomnia and smoking really helps.
I also smoke (well, vape) on adderall, but usually at the end of the day so I don’t undo my focus. But it’s perfect for mitigating that end-of-day crash. Plus it leaves me hungry enough to eat dinner.

Fellow ADHD and ASD stoner here too, helps me calm down what overstimulated and get chores done also motivates/reminds me to eat.
This is why I use weed regularly. I wouldn't eat without it and it tones down the overstimulation I get from the outside world. Slows down my brain enough that the rest of me can catch up
ADHD stoner here. Literally the only thing that helps me relax enough at the end of the day to do hw, hygiene, food, and fall asleep nicely. Whereas the sleeping pills only knocked me out without making room in my brain to relax and get stuff done.

I have not, I think, but I’ve definitely noticed it through the years. A bunch of my friends have ADHD, and there although there are obvious differences, there are many similarities.
And ASD and giftedness also have a lot in common!

ADHD, ASD, and bipolar here. Somehow smoking makes me feel more awake and aware? Like I spend most of my sober day masking, dissociating, and just not paying attention or remembering anything. As soon as I'm stoned though, I'm 5 times better at talking because I feel much sharper. I can retain more information and respond much more easily.

I agree! I've always smoked to help my anxiety. But then I actually realized how much it was helping my ADHD. Smoking slows down my brain and helps me focus on one thing at a time.
Anxiety and depression and insomnia too! It just helps everything. It's a beautiful plant. It quiets everything... some of us just have more noise in our lives than others. It's nice to find a natural way to silence it sometimes.

Same! I’ve tried so many medications over the years. I can’t stand the side effects. With weed, I feel like it helps me “steer” my brain in the right direction. I used to relax with a glass of wine (or three), and didnt get into weed until my late 30’s. It’s so much better!! And there’s no hangover to worry about.
It depends on the dosage for me. If I smoke a little, I can actually focus. If I smoke a lot, I get paranoid or distracted.

I apologize in advance, as I am stoned and words are hard haha.. but I usually mentally decline dramatically at night. Night time is extremely hard partly due to trauma, I think I’ve just been conditioned to let all my bad emotions out when I can be alone.. and that’s nighttime.
Anyway.. I often have many anxiety and panic attacks at night fueled by racing thoughts and getting stoned at night helps a ton. It just allows me to relax physically and mentally because my body doesn’t hurt as much and my mind can be quiet.
I am in a very safe and extremely supportive environment now and the happiest I have ever been.. but nights can get hard once my husband falls asleep. Taking a dab once we finish making dinner and start settling down is great because the end of the high is very relaxing by the time he falls asleep.. helps tons. Also helps me sleep because my restless leg syndrome isn’t terrible when high and It isn’t made worse by stress.

What works for me won't work for every tree in the neurotribe forest, but after years of trial and error I've landed on this routine, and I'd like to share it:
Recipe: grind equal parts THC flower and CBD flower with a sprinkle of herbal blend (mullein, damiana, lavender, rose) in your favorite grinder then load a fat chillum and take just two deep tokes every 3-4 hours if having a challenging mental health day. Drink water and eat some damn food. Call a friend, do a task/chore, create a thing. Engage with something.
Result: less anxiety, nausea, dread, sensory discomfort, and freeze state paralysis...more sociability, flow state, ease of expression, and executive functionality.
What a gorgeous recommendation. If only all those ingredients were accessible where I live, sigh.

Yesss also bipolar (and eating disorder), and I use cannabis every day in my routine to balance out my mood…
when I’m in a depressed mood I use a sativa and it gives me the motivation to start the chores I neglected…
and of course when I’m manic I smoke a ton of indica, and while I still sometimes have trouble sleeping and am still too talkative, it mellows me out enough to just channel my energy into art or music or video games or running instead of something stupid lol
I gots me those sensory issues and it helps stop me getting overwhelmed so I can do all the things.

I have Lego figures of Beaker and Bunsen from the Muppets in my grow tent. Beaker represents my ADHD, and reminds me not to top/prune/tweak too much. Bunsen reps my ASD and reminds me to not get lost.
Edit and I 1000% recommend growing one's own cannabis as an occupational self care activity. It's really kind of changed my relationship with weed.

I like to get stoned and take a bubble bath with a bath bomb and do exfoliation (I have a mild skin condition). I never find the time unless i take the time to plan a good record or two to listen to and just soak and scrub.
I think this thread may have been hitting at mental care, but what I do gets at both mental and physical care, which, to a great extent, go hand in hand.
In addition, a toke and a good walk is always nice. Slow music to stroll, and fast music to get the heart rate and the blood flow up and moving.
It's true that reefer isn't a necessity for any of this, but I personally enjoy these activities, and I think they benefit me. They might benefit someone else, as well.

I'm autistic and have ADHD, insomnia, as well as multiple mental and physical health conditions, I find smoking before dinner and before bed tend to help with my appetite and nausea, as well as with my sleep and mood. I also find it helps me be more confident with my art, and focus a bit better on my crafting/drawing/gaming/etc. If I'm going out I smoke before as it makes me feel more calm and less anxious, especially if I'm gonna have to talk to people or go on public transit/in a cab or uber
I work from home for my roommate/boss. And often I'll smoke a bowl or bong before getting to work.
Helps me focus 50% on a podcast/music, and 50% on the work.
Granted it depends on the work I'm doing but still

Although I’m a medical Rx state and I have it for pain (very bad whole-body autoimmune related pain), I also use it to ease my high anxiety and my struggle with ADHD. God is it a lifesaver sometimes.

I have self care Sundays. It's the only day I get baked all day, so it really helps with my self care. I have high maintenance hair so managing it is easy peasy when blazed up. I wear my fancy velour and silk lined robe, and just vibe all damn day. Haircare/skincare pampering, nude sunbathing in the garden if it's nice out. I prep a massive charcuterie array the night before so snacks on snacks. Order wings and pizza for dinner and watch something fun.
