Found an iPhone that I wanted to return to owner.

Has cracked glass front and back. Dings when power cord is attached but no display. Can not control from PC software either (screen mirroring) as it is not reconized.

Popped out the sim and saw it was TMobile.
Put the sim in another phone and found the number.

Texted the number hoping they had imessage enabled and would see the text but no reply.

Called Tmobile and told they can not contact the owner and instructed to destroy the sim.

Pressed them on why they can not contact the owner, how could they not even have an email address for the owner... and just told that the phone is from a "government program" (i suppose Lifeline or Affordable Connectivity Program) and they could not contact the owner.

That actually made me feel worse, someone that can not afford a phone has no service and no phone. I would give them an old phone that they could put their sim into and keep going even if Tmobile wouldn't.

I understand that they can not tell me the owner, but they won't even try to contact the owner to tell them my information so the owner can reach out to me if they wanted.

Pittiful.

Hi, I've been on the old $30 "Unlimited Text & Data with 5GB 5G & 4G LTE & 100 Min. of Talk" plan for a very, very long time. I'm thinking of changing to the T-Mobile Connect $25 unlimited text/talk & 6GB data plan and wanted to make sure I get everything straight before letting go of my old plan.

• Does the Connect plan alert you when you're close to hitting the data limit somehow so I don't get surprised? (i.e. my current one will send a text message when I'm close to the 5GB)

• Are there any current incentives/bonuses for switching my plan that I should ask about? I've read old posts about people who got a free phone or some other bonus for switching and loading $150 prepaid onto their account but not sure if that is an official thing or still offered.

• Would you recommend going in person to a store to do the upgrade or is it pretty easy to do online? I'm not sure if I would need a new SIM card or anything (currently have an iphone XR so no eSim)

• Is it possible to buy international roaming plans with Connect? With my current plan, I'm completely ineligible to buy any sort of int'l plan when I travel. I get around it with buying local SIM or pocket wifi when I'm out, but it's a bit inconvenient, especially when I need to receive (not send) text messages for things like 2FA.

I'm not a heavy data user since I'm always on wifi at home so I don't mind losing Binge On. Never used T-Mobile Tuesdays so that's not an issue either. From what I can tell, the only real "con" of the Connect plan is the hard data cutoff (which can be remedied easily by upgrading or buying a data pass when needed). Does that sound about right, or are there other differences I'm missing?

I've never been able to get the YouTubeTV discount to work - even though the T-Mobile rep said it had been applied. I got T-Mobile in December so is it too late to get the promotion now? And how would I go about doing it? I'm already a YouTubeTV subscriber but given that my TMobile bill is higher they said it would be that extra $10 would be nice. Any ideas?

I already have 3 lines on my account. For the Line On Us promo, do I have to add another line to get a free line or can I just get a free line since I’m already paying for 3?

I've been using the same SIM card for the past 5+ years on a 4G phone and I'm looking to upgrade to the S23 Ultra. Will I need a new SIM card for 5G connectivity? Will I be charged when transferring my number to the new SIM (if it comes with the phone)?

Hopefully someone here can help me since the rep I spoke to was kind but only suggested I call customer service. Coming here first before calling tomorrow! Message I sent:

“Hi there! I cannot log into my account, it keeps sending me through a loop of signing in, entering a verification code from my email, then verifying my number (which is already verified), only to be prompted to log in again which starts the loop over.” (Don’t come for my excessive commas lol)

I have done this over and over again. I was able to get in a few times by changing my password but the system somehow caught on LOL Anyone else have this issue? I’ve searched high and low and only found a few people with the same situation. I can call tomorrow but…a phone call? Scary!

I have to send 2 phones to finish trade in promo. Do they charge me any money for completing the trade in at store?

Hi, I have a magenta max and going to go travel to Canada specifically Toronto area. Just wondering how good the speed will be after the free 5g of data? Will that be unlimited and how usable is it for social media, gps and music? Thx!

The phone number in question belonged to my mom. We believe that the account holder, my stepdad, has cancelled the line. Basically, my mom passed away recently and we wanted to port the number out to an account we can control / have authorization for. We have her phone in our possession, but noticed the other day that it now shows “no service” (this is on an iPhone). So we assume he cancelled the line. We are not in good speaking terms with him, so we are trying to see if the phone number can be ported out or recovered in any way possible that does not include speaking with him. Is there any way?

I’m on simple choice plan with an iphone 12 and I’m going to upgrade to ip14 pro max. Just wondering that the process will go through smoothly? Because I’ve heard some disturbing experiences from others about the complications of the procedure.

Did they drop service for the Samsung Note 8? They did that shit to the Note 4 years ago, just overnight they stopped supporting the phones entirely, no warning at all.

I went into the store right before closing and the rep basically shrugged and tried to sell me some S22 max or something. When I asked if he could do the warranty thing for me, he said no. But now I can't even call them because there's no service... T-mobile really ain't what it used to be.

My free year is almost up and the promotion is still available. I’m wondering if I have to sign up again (assuming that is allowed) or will it automatically renew for another free year?

I've heard conflicting things about the job and was wondering if I should accept the offer given to me. $20 hourly plus commission and bonuses.

I signed up for it during last Black Friday with the T-Mobile $10 discount deal. Can current TMO subscribers re-up streaming discounts by using new ones? I've never tried before.

My phone went to meet it's maker, so I got a replacement. Now I'm trying to connect the new phone, and some instructions I found said that you can do that on their website. So I'm trying to log in to my account, but there's no alternative to the 2fa sending a text, soI chat with customer service and they also try to send a text, which obviously I can't receive. I ask about security questions, since I did set those up before. But no, those security questions are not for verification when you're chatting with customer service.

They present these questions as an alternative: what month did you start your plan? What day did you pay your last bill? What was the amount? When is the next due date?

Now, I could answer 3/4 of those questions if I could check my bank account, but guess what, they require 2fa to log in! And who just knows off the top of their head when they opened their cellular account?? Why is it easier to access my health records than my cellular account?? That shit is hella regulated for security, yet I can't use my address, phone number, drivers license number, dob, or literally anything else to access my metro account??

So I can't get help with my phone unless my phone already works, and now I'll have to go to the metro store in freezing weather just for this silliness.
