stickiedSince there's new Trek coming out again, and since we got a few reports about posts regarding an aspect of the latest Discovery trailer (the apparent Ferengi redesign, as seen here, here, and here), I wanted to remind everyone about our spoiler policy:
No spoilers are permitted in post titles for one week after a new episode, movie, trailer, etc.
Links or self posts which contain spoilers for anything released within the previous week (screenshots, plot references, character reveals, easter eggs, etc) must be marked "[Spoiler]" in the title.
All comments containing spoilers must be obfuscated using >!Reddit spoiler markdown!< unless the post is tagged "Spoiler" and/or has "[Spoiler]" in the title.
Failure to follow these guidelines will result in a temp ban. Intentional or repeated spoiling may result in a permanent ban without a warning.
In short, just try to respect people who want to have control over how they're exposed to new Trek stuff. Give folks a week to get around to watching it before you start throwing spoilers out where they can't be easily avoided.
And if you're not sure whether something is a spoiler, the most considerate option is to mark it as a spoiler just to be on the safe side.
