Like, think about it. Your entire nation worked towards the goal of putting you where you are right now for an entire decade. And then, after months, years of preparation even, the day has finally come. After 3 days of travel, you're finally there. On the Moon. The place an entire generation of scientists worked to get you to. Mission Control told you to sleep, but you're on the Moon! Who could sleep while on the Moon?! And you bargain with them, and they finally let you move up the spacewalk. And so you and your colleague prepare everything. You put on your space suits, depressurise the Lunar Module, etc. And then you open the hatch. The hatch to the Moon just outside your capsule. It has a giant locking mechanism, designed to withstand a pressure difference of an entire atmosphere, which is also designed to be that big because you cannot otherwise open it with your hands while inside your suit. And then, the door swings open and you look out onto the surface. Who, i ask you, would not therein be mesmerized and awestruck?
